About the team
Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.
This role will be part of the Customer Marketing team, supporting the Customer Reference Program (CRP).
What you’ll do
GTM Reference Request Fulfillment:
• Work closely with account executives to understand ongoing deal cycles and provide timely and relevant customer references to support sales efforts.
• Conduct regular meetings with account executives to align on reference needs and tailor reference strategies based on specific opportunities, especially high value deals.
• Support driving attendance to in-person and online CRP roundtables.
Nomination Expansion:
• Develop and execute strategies to expand the customer reference database by identifying and onboarding new customers willing to participate in reference activities.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to identify potential reference customers across various regions, industries, and use cases.
• Shape nomination requirements and advocate identification for elevated advocacy program.
CRP Database Hygiene:
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer reference data by regularly updating and maintaining the customer reference database.
• Implement and enforce data quality standards to enhance the overall effectiveness of the CRP.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ experience in customer reference program management, preferably in an enterprise B2B environment.
• Strong understanding of customer relationship management and database management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on the success of the customer reference program.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and ReferenceEdge customer reference management software.
