Ugh I know, thank you @Joel Primack! I know you and I have chatted about this before πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

I manage a community of director-level and above, mostly executives/CMOs, with monthly calls and we have a very hard time keeping them engaged in the times between calls in our Slack community. What tips and tricks have moved the needle in your executive communities?

We use TrustMary to pull into our website

I second what @Shannon Howard said, and it is a lot of work. I'm trying to get our PMM team more involved to respond to direct product feedback, but they're overloaded. I just make sure to share the direct feedback with those internal teams that need to see it and respond to the customer with an action if I can. A response is better than a non response and shows the customer you're engaged with their reviews. And prospects reading those reviews!

Sooo cute! Congrats!

Thank you everyone! I might take some of you up on a call about this since I couldn’t make yesterday’s master mind chat once I get a bit father down the line with ops. I appreciate you all!

πŸ’― feel this! πŸ˜‚

#discussions - June 28, 2024 at 05:46 PM

Yes! It works well for that as well.

HI @Emily Coleman - For your # 2 - I do! I work with sellers to help with discounts for customer stories/case studies at renewals as well as new customers if they agree to do partnership announcements via press releases as they come onboard. It's great to start those conversations early and cash in on the excitement of the new relationship. It's not for everyone, but it does convert for me and has helped establish strong relationships with Sales.

@Jennifer Gladden I am exploring this with our CS team that uses Gainsight and would be open to chatting!

@Cara Peterson I'm curious about some of the benefits you list out for company and exec team - would you mind sharing a few examples?

#welcome - April 10, 2024 at 08:45 PM

Hi @Carly! I'm also in Seattle in customer advocacy with two small kids! πŸ˜„

Assuming you don't have a community, if so, ask there! Do you have Pendo access? Target specific verticals there for the ask if so. If you have a customer newsletter you can segment for a special ask - make it easy with a quick Google form to fill out specifically asking for what you need so you don't have to follow up. Offer an incentive if possible! -- these are some I do in a pinch

Congrats, @Joel Klettke!!

#random - March 22, 2024 at 04:14 PM

Smart @Emily Gover! We remove churned customer stories, which hurts, but it's even more awkward when they reach out after the fact and ask to have it taken down 🫣

#general - March 21, 2024 at 06:54 PM

Thank you all for these amazing suggestions! I appreciate it!

#general - March 14, 2024 at 06:57 PM

@Amanda Peacock would you mind sharing with me as well? I'm in the same boat, @Valeria Gomez! TY!!!

#general - March 07, 2024 at 08:09 PM

Amazing @Evan Huck I also want UE but don't have the budget atm. I do all the above but also: β€’ If they're open to it - I ask to sit in on cadence calls with certain accounts with our CS team and use a few minutes at the end of the call to ask pointed questions to get quotes/testimonials. β€’ I listen to sales calls or ask sellers who I know have just had conversations with clients to let me know their feedback. Draft up some quotes and send to customer for approval (with an explanation first of course) This is helpful for higher-level champions who don't have time to survey/respond back in writing out answers. β€’ I'm also in charge of case studies, so when I'm interviewing customers I write down a lot of extra quotes and send to them with the case study draft for approval that way we have extra to pull from for content. My current problem is now where/how to store quotes to make them accessible and not a ton of categorizing work for me 🫠

Hey @Randy Ksar no, I haven't yet. I'm dealing with a house full of covid this week, unfortunately. Are you available for a quick huddle next week?

#announcements - January 19, 2024 at 10:24 PM

For those of you who have started/have Slack customer communities - any resources to share on how you got started? Specifically curious about boundaries you have in place on who you let in/invite, how you police so it doesn't turn into all "support-type" questions, how you keep engagement up, do customers without Slack in their workplaces see benefit in joining? THANK YOU!!

#announcements - January 11, 2024 at 06:29 PM

Hi @Crystal Anderson I'm just back from maternity leave and tasked with a new CAB creation. Looking for resources and saw your share here, I'd love to also take a look if you wouldn't mind sending to me as well. <mailto:aschulte@meetsoci.com|aschulte@meetsoci.com> Thank you!!

#open-share - August 30, 2023 at 08:34 PM

Yes! I've been through the whole decision process before choosing a platform, so I know how much work it is!

#open-share - August 30, 2023 at 08:30 PM

Thank you both! I want to plan for the most expensive since I'm assuming I'll get knocked down a peg or two on budget 😜 And yes, @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) I'm so pregnant it hurts but sitting is about all I can do so working until baby comes I guess!

#open-share - August 30, 2023 at 08:10 PM

Along the same lines as @Neema Amadala - I have a possible opportunity to also build a new community next year and need to know what to budget for. It's been around 4 years since I last used Influitive so I know prices have gone up... what would the community suggest as a reasonable budget range for full community management software like Influitive? (sorry if this has already been asked!) $50 - 60k? more?

#random - August 15, 2023 at 05:38 PM

I'm also in the same boat!! Just got denied by legal of a major story that's been in the works since last year... I'm praying anonymizing will work for them! 🀞

#announcements - August 15, 2023 at 05:37 PM

Ahh sorry @Bree Bunzel I think I read your question too quickly and missed that point - no, not formally that I can remember

#announcements - August 11, 2023 at 05:55 PM

Ohhh @Kristine Kukich that's a great one!!

#announcements - August 10, 2023 at 08:38 PM

cute!!! congrats!! I'm about to have baby boy #2 in the next few weeks as well πŸ™‚

#announcements - August 10, 2023 at 08:37 PM

@Bree Bunzel not sure if this is exactly what you mean but for past user conferences I've produced for customers at different levels - think like a professor and a university IT professional - we built separate conference tracks for them. Also have done separate tracks for executives and managers. This gave them enough breakouts/workshops focused on them and filled in with more general product sessions that aligned with everyone.

#announcements - August 10, 2023 at 08:33 PM

@Maria Braune yes we have that too but my issue is that no one checks it and Sales just goes to use any logo with abandon! 😬 @Cindy Aitken that's what I'm currently doing as well, it just feels a bit archaic and hard to manage with just me doing it. Need to do some research on logo repository tech haha

#announcements - August 10, 2023 at 08:30 PM

I gave out a toggle of chargers once, think like one charger that has iPhone, micro usb, etc. all in one. I kept one for myself and we use it alll the time. Best from another company - I honestly love getting food as swag. Branded cupcake boxes or chocolates. Chapstick is a close 2nd, small and overdone but I'm always using them. I just got a Lululemon fanny pack from Salesforce that was also realllly nice swag. Half zip oversized cozy sweatshirts are another fave if the branding is very limited or fun.

#announcements - August 10, 2023 at 08:26 PM

So I'm tasked with this currently and coming up with a system has been hard. Would love to hear what others are doing! I currently keep all in a slide deck with approved quotes by customers that the company can use. If someone leaves I update the title with "former", for example, "Amanda Schulte, Former CMO of XYZ". In a similar vein - what does everyone use to keep an updated list/repository of approved logos for use? This is proving the hardest for me to keep track of internally.

#random - June 15, 2023 at 05:13 PM

Thanks @Joel Primack! I figured it was probably an add-on. Any ideas which ones are good?

#random - June 15, 2023 at 05:07 PM

For those of you who host your own advocacy communities on Slack - does anyone have any clue how to set up automatic emails from Slack when lots of conversations are happening? My leadership swears this is a feature in other communities they are in... but I'm having trouble figuring out how to even find info on how to do this on the backend from our Admin settings. Anyone know of any possibilities like this to enable an auto recap email to be sent to users weekly/when a lot of discussion has taken place/etc.? Thank you!
