For those of you who host your own advocacy communities on Slack - does anyone have any clue how to set up automatic emails from Slack when lots of conversations are happening? My leadership swears this is a feature in other communities they are in... but I'm having trouble figuring out how to even find info on how to do this on the backend from our Admin settings. Anyone know of any possibilities like this to enable an auto recap email to be sent to users weekly/when a lot of discussion has taken place/etc.? Thank you!

I’ve only seen it done via a third-party tool, Amanda. Mostly, I’ve seen communities on Slack use Lowdown to send out digests (more or less) that each member can set to their preferred cadence, channels, etc.

Maybe you could do it via Zapier (but that’d be 1 of the 10 apps allowed on your free Slack plan, assuming you’re on the free Slack plan).

It would have to be a plugin/extension/app that ties into Slack. @Joel Primack might have an idea.

Happy to workshop/test ideas on a call too, if that’s helpful, Amanda 😊

Thanks @Joel Primack! I figured it was probably an add-on. Any ideas which ones are good?

I’d love to jump on a call too. I love talking about Slack communities.
