Agreed. I would have loved to do one at influitive but it didn't feel right having a vendor collect financial data like that. Especially with the jigsaw acquisition that eventually occurred

I would absolutely take their reports with a grain of salt. In the past I would review them in advance as part of Influitive's CMA sponsorship and they never had a statistically significant sample size. I recall the 2024 report didn't even list the number of respondents which is a big red flag IMO.

I've done similar messaging as Emily shared above. In my situations it's often our own sales rep who flagged the alarm bells for needing a reference and then puts it on hold for various reasons (e.g., client doesn't need it anymore, deal has been pushed out, etc.).

Just a heads up if you're an active VIP poster/lurker, Influitive has turned on post moderation so any new discussion topic will need to be approved by their Admin. They've also deleted a ton of posts that mentioned product issues/deficiencies or the future of the company. Good chance if anything you ask could be seen as negative in any respect, it won't be allowed on the platform anymore. As a former program admin for Influitive VIP, I'm really disheartened to see that.

Happy to chime in! A few learnings from running Influitive's BAMMIE awards:
β€’ Plan for a soft and hard deadline for applications – give yourself the flexibility early as you'll often have many applicants ask for a little extra time.
β€’ Include word count limits – not all applications will be created equally so asking for brevity ensures a more level playing field.
β€’ Find a way to bring in a surprise and delight element – this could be getting congrats videos from your winners' executive team, teammates or even their friends/family. It adds so much more to their winning moment
β€’ Create a content piece out of your winning entries – this is a great asset that not only highlights your customer as an industry thought-leader, but allows other customers/future customers to learn from their success
