I think it depends. If you have the bandwidth to go back to the customer and find someone else that is okay with you either re-attributing the quote to them or developing a new quote I think that can be ideal. I agree with Evan in that you can say ‘it was true at the time’. However, I did work at an organization that had some very OLD stories they would not sunset. Many had been through 4-5 brand facelifts over the years. I think it’s important to have an agreed schedule for reviewing and updating all aspects of your stories and consider sunsetting them if they can’t be updated. For example, if they reference new solutions and integrations that are no longer new or they contain future looking statements that are obviously well in the past.

What are some good sources for current job leads? #question

#jobs - October 03, 2024 at 12:39 PM

Is the role part-time?

#jobs - September 24, 2024 at 03:06 PM

Anyone try a free or paid AI mock interview tool?

#jobs - September 09, 2024 at 06:45 PM

But when I Google it there are tons of excuses for what they mean…from recruiters.

#jobs - September 09, 2024 at 02:09 PM

Instead of ‘high energy’ in job descriptions, why not say exactly the desired qualities?

#jobs - August 12, 2024 at 03:09 PM

They scheduled me for an interview today but emailed me this morning that they are moving forward with an internal candidate.

#jobs - August 05, 2024 at 07:21 PM

Do you know if this role can be performed on a remote basis?

#discussions - July 08, 2024 at 06:10 PM

Will you be seeking permission before posting?

#reviews - June 03, 2024 at 02:07 PM

Have any of you had a situation where a customer had trouble submitting a review on peer insights because their work email was on a different domain than the parent company?

#jobs - June 03, 2024 at 02:05 PM

Looks like a support role with nothing to do with advocacy.

#reviews - May 31, 2024 at 02:35 PM

Folks, who can give me a brief overview of FTC and review platform polices best practices. I vaguely recall the FTC proposing or enacting a policy discouraging the practice of soliciting reviews from a targeted set of customers that are more likely to give a positive review (e.g. high NPS score and/or member of an advocacy program), additionally discouraging the practice of requesting only 5 star reviews, etc. What is the current policy in the US? Globally? Per major review platforms?

@Katie Aamodt also be mindful of politics when trying to take a program for another team. Do they want it or would they love to unload it.

#open-share - May 13, 2024 at 02:46 PM

What is the composition of the current CAB and what is the focus of their meetings? Maybe there is room for two groups. If the group aligned with product is more of a user group and focused on product feedback yours could be more aligned with senior leadership, for example. I’d really try to feel out the mindset of your new CMO before you pitch.

#job-seekers - April 10, 2024 at 10:14 PM

I think I have you beat for time completely out of work.

#job-seekers - April 10, 2024 at 10:11 PM

Contracting has no security. FTE has no security.

#jobs - March 09, 2024 at 06:16 PM

Did they remove the posting from the careers page?

#job-seekers - March 06, 2024 at 10:51 PM

I also follow their Groups under the Groups section if applicable.

#job-seekers - March 06, 2024 at 10:50 PM

I put industry group memberships under Organizations.

#general - March 02, 2024 at 03:30 PM

CustomerX Con 💯%

#job-seekers - February 22, 2024 at 06:08 PM

That Tines job seems to get reposted monthly. I think it was first posted in January. I never applied. The recruiter just contacted me today. I can’t recall why I didn’t apply before. Maybe that it’s series B.

#jobs - February 16, 2024 at 07:50 PM

@Maria Braune - I probably did. I don’t have a demand generation & campaigns background. Thank you for thinking of me 🙏

#jobs - February 15, 2024 at 07:06 PM

I’ve seen companies post like this in the past and it was always the same job!

#jobs - February 15, 2024 at 02:31 PM

I think I’ve seen worse.

#announcements - February 11, 2024 at 02:50 PM

What do you consider a ‘mini’ CAB?

#jobs - February 08, 2024 at 09:43 PM

That position has been open since early to mid-Dec. It would be great to understand what they are looking for and not finding.

#job-seekers - February 08, 2024 at 05:39 PM

Is it time to just re-read ’Who Moved My Cheese” and pursue a career change?

#job-seekers - February 05, 2024 at 04:29 PM

The three roles they have are summer internships and they have run these programs before. That’s all the info. I got out of them.

#random - January 30, 2024 at 10:05 PM

Sounds interesting. Happy to help if I can.

#job-seekers - January 22, 2024 at 08:21 PM

@Cara Peterson no, but one was just today. @Matthew Simpson that’s the weird thing. These weird screens didn’t ask any specific screener-type questions. One was from an internal referral and I felt like maybe they scheduled with me as a courtesy. Today they didn’t even talk about salary. It was tell me about yourself then they told me very little about the company, and then they wrapped up the call. These calls were actually all with screeners who were in-house and on staff at least 2 years. I posted because in my experience my screening calls are usually the full half hour…might even run over, but not in 2024.

#job-seekers - January 22, 2024 at 05:47 PM

I’ve had three screening interviews this month that ran about 10-12 minutes and the talent acquisition folks seemed disinterested. Have any of you noticed this? How have you handled?

#job-seekers - January 18, 2024 at 04:40 PM

I get the impression PDFs may be becoming easier to scan/parse.

#job-seekers - January 18, 2024 at 03:03 PM

Resumes: which do you prefer, text only or more graphical? Docx or PDF? Do ATS’s today easily parse graphical PDF’s? What are some good tools for testing the scanability of your resume for ATS’s?

#announcements - January 17, 2024 at 08:56 PM

Thanks @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly)

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 08:25 PM

@Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) you don’t see things coming back?

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 07:29 PM

Is it just me, or are titles being downgraded too? I am seeing more and more specialist and coordinator titles on jobs that should be manager, sr manager, or even director level. What gives? Obviously devaluing the function and going cheap on salaries.

#announcements - January 17, 2024 at 06:12 PM

Are you recording?

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 03:16 PM

Well that’s not surprising to get more interviews when you are fresh out of school with no experience. Companies are happy to find a hard working eager malleable recent college graduate that isn’t cynical about work yet.

#job-seekers - January 16, 2024 at 06:39 PM

I’m seeing some ludicrous salaries…not just $30-40K off but last week I saw one for ~$55K! I do think we had a nice salary uptick 3-4 years ago. Back then I could get 5 interviews a day every day of the week and criteria/expectations were actually realistic. The market has gone off the cliff.

#jobs - January 15, 2024 at 10:31 PM

Thank you Mary

#job-seekers - January 13, 2024 at 05:21 PM

I don’t feel comfortable going out shopping at the big malls in Atlanta anymore… or parking at Marta to go downtown.

#job-seekers - January 13, 2024 at 05:14 PM

Add homelessness and healthcare to the mix @Natalie Gullatt :(

#random - January 12, 2024 at 04:43 PM

I belong to a group on facebook where there are a ton of freelancers. Let me know if you’d like me to post the opportunity there for you.

#job-seekers - January 09, 2024 at 06:57 PM

No, just realistic. It seems like the contracts are as challenging to secure as the FTE roles.

#job-seekers - January 09, 2024 at 06:10 PM

So I’ve been rejected for everything I had a response on and I got COVID. I’m ready to dish.

#announcements - January 09, 2024 at 03:19 PM

Ah, the new functionality they just added a few months ago that I haven’t seen in action. Thanks.

#announcements - January 09, 2024 at 09:31 AM

@ & @Shelly Ryder when you say you are using Influitive for Advocacy only not community what does that look like?

#job-seekers - January 05, 2024 at 02:47 AM

@Cara Peterson no. They list specific cities in the other two tiers.

#job-seekers - January 04, 2024 at 09:53 PM

It’s a manager-level role

#job-seekers - January 04, 2024 at 09:38 PM

Probably a moot point since I haven’t interviewed for it yet…but I know they will ask my salary expectation an not sure how I want to answer. For Georgia they only want to pay $85-105 for what looks like a pretty challenging job.
