Have any of you used Clay, and if yes, what specifically did you use it for? https://www.clay.com/

@Jennifer Lyons Clay is the new darling of the sales intelligence world. It’s primarily for prospecting. Think of zoominfo and apolllo as 1.0 and clay is 2.0.

I overlap with them a bit on customer contact database update and enrichment. But that’s all I do.

Sales would make the purchase and it’s a big decision for a company to make.

I've used it for cleaning up customer data.

we use clay! we use it integrated with Salesforce to enrich contact and lead data. it's primarily used for new biz/prospecting but we're using it a bit for cross-sell as well. i also plan to use for building new BU expansion campaigns, but only to develop audiences for ads or for sales-driven emails, bc clay contacts aren't marketable.

we use it for a lot:
• job changes (e.g. advocates changing companies)
• New in role (either to trigger outreach, gifting/congrats, etc)
• advanced scraping (e.g. to see if someone is hiring a CMA person, or to see if they have a Forrester/Gartner report)
• waterfall enrichment for data quality (e.g. phone numbers and emails)
• X-sell and upsell signals
