Yes! Reserved general session seating is a big hit. Love the gifts in the rooms and the morning text preview idea!

I'd keep trying to find a way to turn your work into something you can make better. It sucks to feel stuck and devalued, and that your role isn't what you thought it would be. But if you can carve a space to make a difference, you can feel good about that. And if not, you can track your work and update your resume. I bet the Salesforce Trailhead has something on Pardot. I've found a lot of platforms have live or on-demand training. It does them good if you know how to use their stuff and keep using it. 😄 And even if you can't get in front of leadership, you can use that deck to remind yourself that you're working with a purpose, and show that your work is intentional. Or again, add to your portfolio/resume. Finally, if you can't get in front of marketing leadership, can you work with CSMs or CSM leadership? Let them know you're working on a strategy and would like to collaborate with them. ❤️❤️

Ok, a few things I'd consider: 1. I'd get clarity from a leader. Just because a peer says "I don't do that" doesn't mean it can't be negotiated. Clarity in general in your role seems like it might be helpful. 2. Also, maybe there's a way to get some Pardot tips/tricks that would help you scale with repeatable processes that would let you schedule out a bit. Spend a day on Pardot setting things up for a week or two? 3. Finally, in the same thought of planning ahead, maybe build out a strategy that you can show to leadership about being intentional, purposeful, and impactful in the emails. If there's a way you can "own" that program, that could be a place to grow and show initiative.

For SaaS customers: • Ask the Experts - either product/leadership from your company or a successful peer, or both! • Sneak preview of the roadmap/features in development • Release notes session covering what's new, with Q/A • Survey/feedback session mixed with trivia (and prizes)

I have done it, but don't have specific before/after metrics. I did get a lot of positive feedback from the sellers who used newly-designed case studies, though. And internal views/shares from our content library and webpage case study views did trend up after the change. I think it's very worth the effort. Bullets/overview, infographics, call out quotes, relevant stock photos...make the layout guide the reader through.

I managed the customer content in a Highspot sales enablement platform.

The link isn't working for me. Do I need to be signed into something?

A tagged shoutout from your org's leadership on socials, specifically LinkedIn, can be a a really nice recognition. An individual video thank you post is super nice, but even an executive repost of the customer's session is great.

yes! I think it's important to talk about the industry and not just what's new here. And include a customer's voice, too. All on my list of upcoming topics. 🙌 Good idea on quick content with a link. No one wants to scroll a hundred years in an email.

Working on a new newsletter and wondering how to distinguish it from other customer comms as customer-focused news and not things like product updates or other types of campaigns. Does it need a recognizable banner, a catchy title? I'd love to know what has worked in your orgs, or even what you've seen and liked as a customer.

I don't think it's going to be a problem. Things change and people get more info. What you learned about the role and expectations is that they pay more than you originally asked. That's true. This is all kind of a game anyway. I truly can't imagine they'll second guess you. An org will always try to get the best deal--it's business. But if they're giving you a hard time because you want their listed rate, then that's not a great impression of them.

"I've gotten a some clarity about the role and expectations and I think X is more in line with this than my original response." I don't think they'll ask though. If you know they pay significantly more than your original ask, they know it too.

I always at least try to see if the interviewing org will share first. "I'd need to learn more about the role and expectations before I'd be prepared to give a set number. Do you have a budget in mind, based on how you've defined the role?" If that doesn't fly, maybe "I'm interviewing for roles in the range of X." And I most often aim higher, like Evan said.
