He’s so sweet. Congrats to you both!

#random - July 12, 2024 at 06:02 PM

So funny. 🙂

#general - June 24, 2024 at 06:35 PM

Congratulations! Wonderful news. Looking forward to the baby pics.

#general - June 05, 2024 at 08:40 PM

Cool! I used that at Splunk. Great stuff.

At Google Cloud, I managed the Scaled Program. I used TechValidate to do customer surveys to quickly create a library of customer evidence (quotes, statistics, NPS scores). We used that information in collaboration with the Campaigns team. Response rates were much higher when we used customer evidence. I don’t remember the exact numbers but I know the response rates were at least 2% higher.

Well, GPI has been strict even before the SEC ruling. But 100% agree with what Angela is saying. Most of the rules apply for B2C companies, so as long as you are keeping the amount low (as in $25), you should be okay for B2B. Also, it should be framed as a “thank you” for sharing your feedback/opinions.

#general - May 16, 2024 at 04:23 PM

Really interested to hear what’s new from them.

#general - May 15, 2024 at 04:53 PM

This is all great info - thanks for sharing Mary!

#open-share - May 14, 2024 at 08:58 PM

Hire me and I’ll help you. 😉

#reviews - May 08, 2024 at 09:27 PM

Oh. I did that. We got a bunch of reviews, but many weren’t good. 🙀

#reviews - May 08, 2024 at 05:02 PM

I don’t know enough about your customers to know if that applies, but hopefully it is helpful.

#reviews - May 08, 2024 at 05:02 PM

The messaging you use can be key. So some customers really like the idea of having a say in how products or services are developed in future. So we would use language asking for their input, etc. We would always ask for their honest reviews. Generally since we were cherry-picking the happy customers, there wasn’t a risk of them leaving bad reviews. Sometimes we’d get feedback that was useful to our product management team.

#reviews - May 08, 2024 at 03:57 PM

As @Axel Lavergne says, we included the option to donate to a charity so customers who couldn’t accept incentives had a meaningful incentive option.

#reviews - May 08, 2024 at 03:56 PM

The other way I got great/numerous reviews was on site at our user conference. PeerSpot came on site and interviewed people as they walked the show floor. We got lots of great reviews and reusable content that way.

#reviews - May 08, 2024 at 03:55 PM

Hi Maura - I tried a bunch of things like you are listing while at Splunk. The very best approach for me was to do email campaigns to customers who renewed contracts for products in the previous quarter. I used the incentives that were tied to the platforms, so for Gartner, I used the Gartner incentives. It worked really well.

I’m happy to help, Hena. If you ever just want to talk ideas or vent, feel free to reach out directly. ❤️

#job-seekers - May 02, 2024 at 05:20 PM

Also, I signed up for Never Search Alone - the jury is out for me on whether it will be helpful, but it is free so worth a shot. It is global, so I’m guessing you can sign up for it too.

#job-seekers - May 02, 2024 at 05:19 PM

Hi Hena - I’m sorry to hear what you are going through. It probably doesn’t help, but those of us with many years’ experience are having a harder time of it because we tend to be more expensive and companies just aren’t placing value on experience these days. Some of the roles I’ve been looking at/applying for pay significantly less than I made previously. What has helped me most in terms of getting interviews is making two lists - people I’ve worked with previously or know well who are in executive level roles, and others I’ve worked with previously who are working in companies that are desirable to me. I’ve been reaching out to them one by one asking for advice or help. At the very least, they usually will have me look at open roles on their companies’ career sites and then they refer me. For the advice/help ask, I usually ask for a Zoom coffee, 30 mins tops. Maybe you are already doing this, but I recommend it if you aren’t. Hope this is helpful.

That was @Alison Bukowski when she was at PeerSpot. I think it was from an event.

Vocal Video is a vendor. You do really short videos that the customer records from their computer. It’s a great tool.

#open-share - April 19, 2024 at 04:53 PM

And as another point of reference (pun intended), we never used references for RFPs and we set a limit on the revenue amount required before we’d use a live customer reference.

#open-share - April 19, 2024 at 04:52 PM

Short videos work well. Like the Vocal Video kind.

#reviews - April 19, 2024 at 04:18 PM

I came here to say I would work with my SEO guy (I call him that cuz he was amazing) at Splunk. But Axel has even better input here.

#open-share - April 19, 2024 at 04:16 PM

I love this creativity! Fun idea.

#random - April 19, 2024 at 04:01 PM

Oh, I like the use of the logos on the last slide. Great idea!

#random - April 18, 2024 at 09:27 PM

Thanks for sharing.

#random - April 18, 2024 at 09:26 PM

That’s great, but it just covers the activities. However, there are a few items here I might not have thought of to propose, so thank you.

#random - April 18, 2024 at 09:25 PM

My plan is to include slides for Objective, What’s in it for me (customer), proposed activities, timeline. What am I missing?

#random - April 18, 2024 at 09:19 PM

Does anyone have an example of a proposal deck prepared for meeting with a customer to ask them to participate in advocacy activities? I’ve created them in the past for companies I worked for, but I no longer have access. I’m hoping to save some time for a client I’m contracting with.

#job-seekers - April 10, 2024 at 10:13 PM

True.

#job-seekers - April 10, 2024 at 08:38 PM

Hi there - is anyone else on here still unemployed? I’m feeling really down, like I may never find anything.

#jobs - March 08, 2024 at 06:26 PM

Oh but let’s say it does. 😉

#open-share - March 07, 2024 at 11:02 PM

How wonderful! Congratulations Ciana. She’s beautiful.

#job-seekers - March 05, 2024 at 11:56 PM

Thank you!

#job-seekers - March 05, 2024 at 11:54 PM

Actually, I’m going to do that too. The industry groups I have are Forbes Communications Council and CMA, so I’m okay moving them down.

#job-seekers - March 05, 2024 at 11:31 PM

Thank you both. @Joel Primack I currently have it in experience, but the career person I spoke with today pointed out it is pushing down the names of the companies I’ve worked for so recruiters don’t see them right away. So I may move them down for now.

#job-seekers - March 05, 2024 at 10:45 PM

Thanks! I was given that advice by someone but I wasn’t sure.

#job-seekers - March 05, 2024 at 10:42 PM

Question if anyone’s available. Do you put industry group memberships on your LinkedIn, and if so, in what section?

#reviews - March 04, 2024 at 09:55 PM

Are you offering an incentive? I had great luck with basic subject line such as, “Give us your feedback, get $25”. Sometimes we got more creative, but you get the gist. That was for GPI.

#general - February 22, 2024 at 10:28 PM

Good list. I would add analyst briefings and peer reviews.

#open-share - February 01, 2024 at 06:19 PM

I do! Thanks for sharing @.

#announcements - February 01, 2024 at 06:16 PM

This is not scientific, but I’ve had success with using the Sendoso choice option. Basically you select a series of gift options (I think it was up to eight) and let the customer choose. It mostly works well on their platform.

#job-seekers - January 31, 2024 at 08:13 PM

Oh good. I’m glad to hear it.

#job-seekers - January 31, 2024 at 08:11 PM

Sorry, I’m probably disrupting your zen and positive energy, which I fully applaud.

#job-seekers - January 31, 2024 at 08:10 PM

The “assignment that you spend 20 plus hours on” disturbs me. I thought companies had stopped doing that. It’s free work. They should not be taking advantage of you like that.

#job-seekers - January 18, 2024 at 07:31 PM

Agree. As a previous hiring manager, I only had time for the resumes. Except when hiring graphics designers - that was all about the portfolio.

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 10:55 PM

It could be just wishful thinking though…

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 10:52 PM

I don’t know. Tech has always had its ebbs and flows.

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 06:11 PM

Ugh!

#job-seekers - January 17, 2024 at 02:13 AM

Who are the people taking these jobs? Ugh!
