We offer to take the info over the call if the customer prefers (which we did in the most recent case)

We ask the customer for their routing number, account number, bank name, and bank address, and pass that to our accounting team for reimbursement.

We have a "logo use" checkbox on the account level in SFDC that the sales rep updates when the account closes and marketing manages afterward for ongoing changes For the logos on our site, sales decks, etc we have a hidden field "Logos on website" that I have the revops team bulk update for every new project, then a auto notification setup so i get alerted every time a customer churns and it needs to be taken down

Try AI! I typically use Jasper for this but feel Chat GPT has improved lately with email copy. They do great with outreach-style emails.. I usually use a prompt like.. "write me a casual email directly to a client with XXX points and X content"

I organized a customer happy hour last year in LA as a kick-off to a conference and although it went really well, I do wish I included some more structured programming, like sit down roundtables prior to drinks, since not many people knew each other

Not release notes, we've always just used standard headers and grouped features by category. But if you ever end up doing release webinars (I used to do those monthly) I have some solid reusable content for that

Hi All! Would love some group input-- I am planning a Christmas campaign with a series of 6 emails throughout December with product tips and tricks. I want to tie in some sort of gamification to it to get people to engage with the emails more.. first I thought of adding a secret word to each email to make up a sentence that they would fill out in a form at the end in order to receive a gift - but they're going to have to opt in to the full series so some people won't get all the emails/won't be able to complete secret puzzle... Anyone have other ideas I could incorporate to make this more "Fun"? πŸ˜„ TIA!! β›„

Yea, good point - I have had luck with scheduling a regular call where the calendar is pulled up and updated by all cross functional managers as a group. As for the view access in Google calendar.. my old CSMs would constantly complain they didn't know what comms were going out so that's why I set it up lol, I never really knew who was looking at it /how often it was looked at though

if you use Hubspot there is a calendar feature that automatically syncs over marketing emails - and you can also add new tasks so that might be worth exploring too

I have used Asana for the last 2 years as a customer comms calendar, but only within marketing (for edit access) Asana does support a Google calendar integration so that you can give view only visibility to customer facing teams - but I did have some issues with it mainly being that there were up to 24 hour delays with the edits syncing to GCAL. Could be worth a shot just using a regular shared calendar in Google or MSUITE - have thought about that as well but then it creates double work having to add it in both the shared calendar and Asana.. sigh haha haven't found the perfect solution yet. But happy to chat about this more!

Hi all! Wondering what everyone is doing for holiday gifts this year. Last year I sent out gifts to around 200 of our top VIP customer contacts (Selected by the CS team). This year I am on the fence since its so difficult to tie the spend directly to ROI and budgets are tight. Considering maybe top 50 instead of top 200. Anyone have any other ideas for low spend/free alternatives (besides standard holiday greetings, emails etc)?

Hi All! I have a question about referral programs.. I'm working on launching one (still in beta) that requires a customer to sign up to receive a unique referral link, that essentially is a book a demo page with UTM tracking. However I have customers reaching out to ask about a referral program after they have referred someone who is already going through the sales process. Since it's not technically marketing attributed I'm not quite sure how to handle these. Anyone run into this before?

Ohhhh, yes - I pushed HARD for a 3-stop roadshow last year. Love all of @Shannon Howard’s tips for marketing emails. We also leaned on these other strategies to get our customer facing teams involved: β€’ Create unique tracking links for each CSM and a leaderboard to track who is driving the most registrations, then launch some sort of SPIFF program, gift card incentive, etc β€’ Get exec leadership team buy-in to to rally customer facing teams and encourage the entire company to post on social (but esp. LT) β€’ Create email templates and talking points for internal teams to make it as easy as possible to spread the word, give weekly updates on who's in the lead in a public/recognition channel And then for marketing emails (which we did utilize as well), I built out a calendar where our whole audience would get emailed when new speakers were announced, etc and then additional reminders were added for recipients who clicked and/or opened the emails Hope this helps!

At my past 3 companies where I was in customer marketing- 1st one - I reported to Director of Marketing 2nd - Director of Customer Education/Enablement (who reported up to VP of Customer Success), then eventually moved over to Marketing - (in this position I only focused on lifecycle comms, not advocacy) 3rd (current) - Director of Demand Gen When I was at the 2nd company, I really liked being on the same team as all our customer facing teams, it helped with collaboration, understanding our customers more, etc, however I definitely felt on an island since, at the end of the day lifecycle comms is marketing work, CS is a whole different world and job field. On the demand gen team I kind of do my own thing since they have completely different goals, I'm still happy on the team though since it makes it easy to know what everyone's working on so we can repurpose and market each other's work, etc. I do think eventually once I grow out my team though I wll end up reporting to the CMO Whew that is a long winded answer but hope that helps @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) happy to chat about this anytime.
