> Create engaging and succinct copy for customer-facing projects that is clear, conversational, and focused on helping the reader quickly understand the value.
> The tone should be professional yet approachable—like you're speaking to a sharp peer you respect. Prioritize plain speak over jargon. Use optimistic, motivating language that invites action or excitement.

✨ AI for Customer Marketers – Session Recap ✨
Thanks so much to everyone who joined today! It was great to see so many faces. For anyone who couldn’t make it—no worries at all. Here's a quick recap with the top takeaways and some tips to get you rolling.
I did my best to focus on practical, real-world ways to use AI in our work. Just what’s actually helping me save time, personalize more, and move faster across customer marketing.
🔑 5 Quick Highlights:
1. Use prompts that actually work.
Include context, audience, tone, and format. You’ll get better output, faster.
📎 Screenshot of prompt recipe is in thread!
2. Repurpose smarter, not harder.
Pull quotes, condense long-form into short blurbs, and tailor emails by persona—all with GPT.
3. Segment like a pro.
Build separate assistants for your personas. It keeps tone tight and output relevant.
4. In-app and campaign content in a snap.
Draft CTAs, banners, and popups fast. Test tone and timing with AI before you launch.
5. Turn messy input into insights.
Upload feedback, survey results, or anonymized engagement data to GPT. Ask it for patterns or takeaways. Huge time saver.
⚙️ Practical AI Tips:
• ✏️ Edit the prompt, not the thread (adjust inputs to improve results).
• 👤 “You are” beats “Act as” when setting a role.
Train assistants per persona to avoid repeating work.
• 🔢 Give step-by-step instructions for clearer output.
• ❓ Use “ask clarifying questions” early, then remove.
Drop me a note if you want to chat 1:1 about anything we covered or swap prompts, tools, or test ideas. Always happy to share what’s working and learn from you, too.

Will give ya a summary

#general - April 22, 2025 at 12:25 AM

<@U08F66RT0UD> I'll let ya know! I think it depends on what I ended up sharing on my screen..don't want sensitive info living on the Internet forever

#general - April 21, 2025 at 11:45 PM

welp.
I thought this was going to be a quick chat with 3 or 4 folks who were curious about AI... but since we’re pushing 30 (!) I figured it deserved a little more structure. So naturally—I asked GPT to help me build a talk track and slide deck 😅

Tomorrow’s session will still be informal, but I’ll walk through a quick overview of:

• Where AI actually helps me in customer marketing
• Real use cases I’ve tried (including a few surprise wins)
• Prompting tips that make outputs better
• Tools I love (besides GPT) and how I use them
You’ll get to see the slides + outline—also made by GPT

Lol came here to say the same thing!

#general - April 17, 2025 at 06:34 PM

@Deja Darrington I have a few thoughts - jumping into calls until 2 then will respond! do you have a tool like gong that's recording their monthly/regular cadence customer calls by chance

#general - April 17, 2025 at 04:43 PM

tell me more about this part getting approvals (confirming details) from CS and CS leadership takes days (sometimes weeks) are you saying it's taking them weeks to just say it's ok to reach out to the customer to ask about doing a reference or weeks for the customer to confirm?

#general - April 17, 2025 at 12:50 PM

sorry have been onsite for our user conference - everyone should be on the invite now! not sure if I'll do a recording - trying to figure out the best way to share what i'm doing and that might be sharing my screen with some detail that i don't want out on the internet forever -- stay tuned!

#general - April 14, 2025 at 03:13 PM

alright friends - AI + Customer Marketing chat scheduled for April 22 at 11 AM PT - drop your emails if you want to attend. cal invites have been sent to anyone who provided their email already 📧

#general - April 14, 2025 at 02:55 PM

#general - April 14, 2025 at 02:55 PM

let's do the 22nd

#general - April 11, 2025 at 04:03 PM

hi friends!! a few people have been DMing me about how I'm using AI/Chat GPT. I'm not an expert but I feel like I've got a good hold on it for how it can help me as a team of one. Thinking we could do a call and go through how I'm using it/share ideas and prompts with each other? Comment here if you're interested and which date is better for you - April 17 at 10 AM PT or April 22 at 11 AM PT

#general - April 07, 2025 at 08:36 PM

hey <@U08F66RT0UD> I wouldn't focus on the tools themselves .. I would think about what are people doing with the tools. they're only as good as what you're trying to achieve tbh there are some really good courses that are free that can help you -- I'd focus more on what do you need help doing? what is harder than it needs to be? what do you hate doing? what are you not good at? GPT alone can get you 80% of the way there on things that will make your life better.

#8-references - April 04, 2025 at 03:24 PM

I would love to chat @Grace Corey!! Will dm you!

#8-references - April 04, 2025 at 01:48 PM

@Grace Corey team of one over here too and love these ideas! would love to talk about the custom chat bot you built! we have two GPT accounts, one is a walled garden and one more connected so no customer data, i'm using them a lot and have built assistants for my writing/basic tasks but haven't explored a bot yet - did you build from a templated one or on your own?

#general - April 04, 2025 at 12:52 PM

before champion i tracked everything in SFDC and a spreadsheet!

#8-references - April 03, 2025 at 10:49 PM

I use Gong AI if we have a target company for a refernce and ask them abotu the topics the prospect wants to speak about and who is the best person from the group based on history etc

#general - April 03, 2025 at 04:04 PM

@Cameron Olshansky want to send or me?

#general - April 03, 2025 at 03:56 PM

<@U0806J8HHHR> @Cameron Olshansky @Susan Parcells Tuesday 4/8 2-4 ET or Wednesday4/9 2-3 ET work for me to chat if ya want!

#general - April 03, 2025 at 03:49 PM

happy to chat! existing customers meet when there is an upsell group reference call

#general - April 03, 2025 at 03:26 PM

each of the ref events are for different targets like Existing business vs New business so they are diff customers each time so a single landing page isn't what we do. I have a theme and just clone/update with the appropriate ingo

#general - April 03, 2025 at 03:25 PM

so when reg is low I host it as a webinar style where the customer cannot see who is attending/they can only see the questions that come through

#general - April 03, 2025 at 03:25 PM

so

#general - April 03, 2025 at 02:04 PM

I do 2-4 of these a quarter!

#general - April 01, 2025 at 08:28 PM

#general - April 01, 2025 at 08:24 PM

I feel like I've asked this before but does anyone here own in app messaging? would loveeee to chat! 👀

#general - March 31, 2025 at 04:19 PM

hey 👋 @Cara Peterson I am not! i mean i input who is submitting referrals from a tracking perspective but thats about it from a champion perspective for referrals

#cabs - March 28, 2025 at 12:52 PM

Here's some sample verbiage we used for the initial outreach

Initial mention was in a broader 'excited to see you' email but this was the Connections part: In addition to XYZ presentation, I'm also excited to introduce a new element to our agenda for this session....in the form of Pre-CAB Connections. Each of you will be paired with another member, and together, we ask that you schedule a quick 30-minute meeting ahead of the June 25th CAB session to discuss a relevant topic. During the CAB meeting, we'll dedicate 30 minutes for each pair to report back on their assigned topic, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among our members. Please note that you will receive individual communication next week regarding your pairing and topic(s) for these meetings.

Targeted Email:
I’m excited to share the details of your Pre-CAB Connection pairing for our upcoming Summer CAB Meeting on June 25th. This Pre-CAB Connection is a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share valuable insights with each other.

Action Items:
Schedule a 30-minute meeting with your partner by June 20th. This allows you both enough time to prepare and discuss.
Discuss the assigned topic during your meeting.
Prepare a brief summary (3-5 minutes) of your discussion and key insights to share during our CAB session on June 25th.
Your Pairing Details:
Name, Company, Title
Name, Company, Title
Topic + Key Points to focus on
Your meeting summaries will contribute to the CAB’s collective knowledge and continue to foster connection and community.

Thank you for your participation and dedication to our CAB. We look forward to the insights and collaboration that will arise from your Pre-CAB Connection.
