Here's some sample verbiage we used for the initial outreach

Initial mention was in a broader 'excited to see you' email but this was the Connections part: In addition to XYZ presentation, I'm also excited to introduce a new element to our agenda for this session....in the form of Pre-CAB Connections. Each of you will be paired with another member, and together, we ask that you schedule a quick 30-minute meeting ahead of the June 25th CAB session to discuss a relevant topic. During the CAB meeting, we'll dedicate 30 minutes for each pair to report back on their assigned topic, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among our members. Please note that you will receive individual communication next week regarding your pairing and topic(s) for these meetings.

Targeted Email:
I’m excited to share the details of your Pre-CAB Connection pairing for our upcoming Summer CAB Meeting on June 25th. This Pre-CAB Connection is a great opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share valuable insights with each other.

Action Items:
• Schedule a 30-minute meeting with your partner by June 20th. This allows you both enough time to prepare and discuss.
• Discuss the assigned topic during your meeting.

yes it was SO well received and everyone scheduled their own time etc and actually completed it 0 highly recommend because now they also have a 'buddy' lol

not sure when your CAB is or if you will have time for this but before my last CAB we created pre-CAB connections. we paired similar members with similar use cases or personas, introduced them via email and asked them to schedule 30 min to discuss a specific topic ahead of the CAB session. during the CAB session then each of the pairs did a 2-3 min overview of their discussion which then led to questions from their peers and more organic conversation so thats one idea.

we do $250 for referrals and I am measured on performance. I've started testing out some new segments in the last few months and seen some success with targeted outreach!

  1. yes will share 2. where are you thinking of using this? something we've seen working well is giving info in app or via email and then having them click a button (that is tracked) that says I'm Interested and then that click is the flow instead of them going to a page and giving info that we already have from them. (not sure if that makes sense out loud lol) but essentially if we have an email telling them all about the paid feature then we say something like If you'd like a member of the team to give you more information about this feature, click the I'm Interested button below and your dedicated team member will reach out' and when they click the link it goes to a thank you page

Yeah I actually sometimes will use Champion to see if there is a similar customer to the one they put down - I think it just goes back to people lean toward what they know so I need to highlight more customers for them

we have smart trackers for everything that really help me when it comes to audiences -

• happy customers (using trained AI)
• different upsell product mentions
• user conference mentions
also their ask AI features is VERY helpful. for example if I know an account is a good match for a reference but I don't know their contacts yet, you can ask who would be the best match. this gives me someone to target when I reach out to their CSM. you can also ask their AI questions about what challenges they're solving or topics they could present about etc

you could also look at like famous pop culture things that happened when you become #1 so like .. leader in the space since ... JLo and Ben's first marriage or since Tom Brady 'retired' the first time .. something pop culture and then use a gif of that with your badges
