Great to see you here, @Heather Foeh!!! We met a few years back at the CEdMA conference in Nashville.

#discussions - October 01, 2024 at 02:29 PM

We also used Salesforce for our advocacy tracking - a couple of standard fields, a couple of custom fields, some new activities, and a couple of new reports.

@Cristina Levenetz - Have you played with Zoom Clips yet? Getting ready to this week. I'll let you know what I discover.

📣 *Unlocking the Power of Community: Purpose, People, Platform* 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 This episode of #mixology is an amazing chat with @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) and @Shannon Howard about building community! Wanted to share some key takeaways: 1. 🎯 *Define your purpose*: Your community should serve both your org and your customers 2. 💻 *Software isn't always necessary*: Meet people where they are 3. *Ownership matters*: Customer marketing or customer education are great fits 4. 🌱 *Start small and iterate*: Pilot programs and roundtables can be powerful 5. 🤝 *Cross-company collaboration* is crucial for success 💡 *Pro tip*: Community isn't just about forums. It's about bringing people together and facilitating connections. Start small, test, and show value before scaling up! 📺 [Watch it here](https://youtu.be/LySMTmkI1KE) ❓ What's your experience with building community? Share your thoughts in the thread!

We did a 60 day, unless the customer (individual) said they were really into doing the calls. That didn't mean that we wouldn't use someone else from the company, just that we were trying to limit exposure for call requests.

#welcome - August 06, 2024 at 04:36 PM

Congrats on the growing family!

#open-share - July 30, 2024 at 04:36 PM

Congratulations!!!

I'm a fan of "all of the above". I think that longer white paper-style has a place for backing up research when I'm looking for a product and putting together a discussion with other decision makers. I think shorter formats - written, audio, & video are great attention-getters that can laser focus on a particular attribute or functionality in a way that showcases the use case.

#discussions - July 22, 2024 at 02:39 PM

We did it all internally in SFDC at my last place.

#general - July 16, 2024 at 05:07 PM

The link in the invite doesn't seem to be working, so use the one above!

don't forget - and all in the next 30 days, if you can 😉

We've built reference/advocacy in with a 5 or 10% decrease in contract cost, but it doesn't usually make it through the contract redlining.

#linkedin - June 26, 2024 at 11:48 PM

Woo hoo!!!! Yeah!!!!

#chatgpt - June 26, 2024 at 11:01 PM

Cristina, I've had more success with the script than the video.

#discussions - June 25, 2024 at 08:58 PM

We did 2 cohorts of 2 years, offset. 6 people the first year for 2 years, then 6 more for the 2nd year for two years. Term expires at the end of 2 years. We did a contract outlining their obligations - one webinar per year, 4 CAB meetings (1 in person, 3 virtual), one advocacy event (speaking engagement/case study).

Here's our garage kitty. They say she's a flame point.

I used to run the listing from hubspot of returned messages and send them to the CS group for updates. Unless the number was low, then I'd update and notify instead.

#general - June 20, 2024 at 01:31 PM

Happy to chat about the program I was getting ready to pilot last year, if you're interested. Ping and we can chat.

❤️ Let me know if I can do anything for you from a distance.

#open-share - April 26, 2024 at 05:56 PM

I did my customer of the month via zoom and asked three questions: (1) Who are you? (2) Why Ti? and (3) Where do you see your program in the next 18 - 24 months? Entire video went to the community, and was about 20 minutes long. The second question was turned into a social media post and part of the customer page on the website with a carousel, but it looks like they've pulled it since I left. Happy to chat about it if you like.

#general - April 26, 2024 at 05:48 PM

We averaged about 34%

#general - April 19, 2024 at 06:01 PM

On it - happy to chat

#general - March 26, 2024 at 07:14 PM

I just have some standard questions for software - we never got to the point of a formal RFP for advocacy software.

#chatgpt - March 06, 2024 at 12:14 AM

DM'ing you the Zoom link

<!channel> Many of you agreed to help out - so here's the brief. I'm creating an example of using GenAI to build multiple assets out of 1 customer interview. I've created a script for a fictional company, and need some voices to help me record the interview. Nothing in it for you except brag credits, and I promise, if the Training Sherpa ever gets swag, I'll send you some. Need three voices, Thursday at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern. No more than 60 minutes. Interested?

#chatgpt - March 05, 2024 at 07:04 PM

#general - February 15, 2024 at 09:54 PM

One of my upcoming projects will include data from multiple sources.

#general - February 15, 2024 at 07:01 PM

Exactly. It was the part of writing questions that I hated the absolute most. My example a few weeks ago took about 35 seconds to generate 9 questions.

#general - February 15, 2024 at 06:44 PM

There's been great success @Don Currie with the question/answer/distractor usage for GenAI

#general - February 15, 2024 at 05:21 PM

Get ready .... testing my theories on multiple assets from case study recordings. I'm setting up a call for next week. Anyone that wants to participate is welcome to join. You all will be the customer on the call. I'll publish my list of questions when I send out the invite.

#welcome - February 13, 2024 at 07:57 PM

Hey Portlander!!!! Welcome! I'm up in NoPo. Occasionally host meetups at Olive or Twist in the Pearl, or Ecliptic Brewery.

@Alexie Glover - YES!!!! She's fabulous! Did all of our big case studies at TI

#announcements - February 08, 2024 at 06:34 PM

I did self-nominations where customers voted on the awards. Happy to chat about it if you like.

#jobs - February 08, 2024 at 06:02 PM

@Alexie Glover - did I already give you Elisheva's contact info?

#announcements - February 08, 2024 at 06:01 PM

You may already be starting too late....that said, selecting a place is completely dependent on budget and the ability of your board members to get away to the location. You need to make sure they can accept travel as a gift, or not. That will determine whether you bring people to a centralized location, or go to the city with the most members already there. Also think about spouses. If you're including them in the invitation, you may need to plan something for them to do during the CAB meeting. You'll also want to plan an "event" that's fun: wine tasting, comedy club, river tour, etc. My last one had a whiskey tasting.

#announcements - February 01, 2024 at 02:24 PM

1. Determine how detailed a presentation you would like for each award, and if the presenters will be different. For example, do you want to highlight why this group won? Or just announce winners. It comes down to time. If you have a lot of awards, smaller speeches. 2. Do you want the winners to give a speech? Outline that with them in advance. 3. Intro at dinner by MC outlining the process in addition to the benefits of the awards. 4. Get them done as quickly as you can. Attention tends to wander, and people want to talk with others at their table.
