Okay y'all who owns third party reviews at your company? We are attempting to determine who should own this and it is currently the demand gen team but they no longer want to own it, understandably. I know what I have done previously but would like to hear other options!

hey y'all! would love to connect with those of you that have built an awards program! we just launched our champions program and i am looking into building an awards program at some point. things i would love to know: 1. how long did the application window open for? 2. did y'all allow AE's to submit on behalf of customers? (we found this to be a chaotic dumpster fire with our conference speakers because 1/2 the customers didn't know that they had applied to speak 🥴 3. did you run the same categories each year? (leaning towards this to be able to showcase easily on the website + enable the teams) 4. how many categories is realistically manageable? 5. any other points y'all might have!

Our goals are fairly similar for 1 & 2. I am working on launching a new Champions program in May at our virtual conference. The biggest benefit outside of the product previews is the onsite training that we are going to be comping for up to 20 team members. (still not sure how I got that approved but it was!). We are launching a reference program + SlapFive at the end of April. We were delayed due to a GTM reorg that essentially removed the CSM function so AEs will now own the approval of customer usage. I am also pushing for the references to only be supported for deals for a certain size. Would love to see the Sales 101 deck you linked, @Ciana Abdollahian but I don't have access.
