Sorry to hear, Mary!

#general - April 08, 2024 at 05:42 PM

My perspective is obviously limited, but it helps when there's clarity and transparency from the outset. It also depends on who is acquiring, I think -- is it PE trying to juice the company for all it's worth and looking to make a ton of change? Is it a similar provider looking to grow? It's always a mix of excitement, fear.

#general - April 08, 2024 at 05:41 PM

A transition like this can be hard on a team; a lot of questions, fears, doubts, concerns about the disruption of culture and the security of their jobs.

#general - April 08, 2024 at 05:41 PM

I'm only briefly a part of the transition and then I'll no longer be with the company.

#general - March 22, 2024 at 08:38 PM

I'm very grateful for all I've learned and the team I got to know, and I'm excited to figure out whatever is next for me.

#general - March 22, 2024 at 08:38 PM

Thanks, Amanda. It's been... a real ride.

#general - March 22, 2024 at 08:29 PM

And now Dan Kalmer. Sam's executive team, Dustin and Kevin.

#general - March 22, 2024 at 08:29 PM

Sam Shepler, yup!

#general - March 22, 2024 at 08:28 PM

It's a wild time out there 🙂

#general - March 22, 2024 at 08:28 PM

They did, yes.

#reviews - January 23, 2024 at 07:50 PM

I honestly don’t know

#reviews - January 23, 2024 at 07:49 PM

Better to ask a G2 person.

#reviews - January 23, 2024 at 07:39 PM

If we were saas or in a competitive vertical we would benefit more from access to the analytics, content, and whatnot but as it stands we just don’t see much upside there for the size and state of our business.

#reviews - January 23, 2024 at 07:39 PM

We aren’t very big (small customer base) and are on the services end, so we opted to go free and manage our own program

#open-share - January 15, 2024 at 05:31 PM

Happy to!

#announcements - January 10, 2024 at 10:01 PM

Ahhhh, private equity

#linkedin - January 05, 2024 at 04:15 PM

News to me; thanks! Where did you learn that from? I've been trying to get to grips with the algo.

#linkedin - January 05, 2024 at 04:14 PM

Sharing links to a post squashes its reach? Really?

#template-copy-share - December 20, 2023 at 05:54 PM

Especially when you’re dealing with enterprise clients; gives you a proper paper trail for the future as well.

#template-copy-share - December 20, 2023 at 05:50 PM

We always push for our clients to secure formal release. It avoids so many issues down the line and ensures you have total clarity on where and how you can use the assets.

#template-copy-share - December 20, 2023 at 05:49 PM

Yep! [https://casestudybuddy.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Case-Study-Release-Form-Template.pdf](https://casestudybuddy.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Case-Study-Release-Form-Template.pdf)

I’d probably state what you have here: 1. You’re concerned about the review and want to be able to respond 2. You’ve scoured records based on info you can and cannot find a contact chain 3. You’d love for this person to reach out directly so you can address it

#announcements - December 11, 2023 at 06:33 PM

NO problem! Just picking up the little from school and will fire it over later.

#announcements - December 11, 2023 at 06:26 PM

I do! Pretty basic but I can DM it to you.

#open-share - December 11, 2023 at 04:16 PM

Great work!!

#linkedin - December 07, 2023 at 05:46 PM

Thank you, Emily!

#chatgpt - December 05, 2023 at 03:59 PM

For example, it did a good job with this simple image for a LinkedIn post!

#chatgpt - December 05, 2023 at 03:58 PM

I wouldn't try to combine the text and the image -- there's just no real control over fonts, and while it can get things right pretty often with things like headlines/taglines, immediately breaks on anything text heavy.

#chatgpt - December 05, 2023 at 03:57 PM

The way you might come at this to get something less yikes: First, ideate: "I am creating a presentation on X. Here's the content for slides X, Y, Z. What types of imagery might make sense to complement the points I'm making on those slides?" Second, create: "Now, I want to create imagery for those slides, one by one. I'm going to give you the slide number I referenced above. I want all of these images to be consistent in style: (describe the style, color pallet, etc.). Let's begin with slide X"

#chatgpt - December 05, 2023 at 03:56 PM

DALL-E is probably the best image generation tool at text so far, but it's definitely more focused on imagery than textual content/meaning.

#linkedin - November 29, 2023 at 03:19 PM

I mean, I can certainly try! Lol

#announcements - November 24, 2023 at 05:26 PM

Unconventional idea: Send a gift basket to the POC. It may be enough to jostle an approval loose and remind them. Or, if there's a time-sensitive feature you could get them in (your newsletter, customer of the month, etc.) send a request w/a deadline. Be careful about the anonymous route because it can make a bad situation worse at times if they feel like you went around them and recognize themselves in the piece -- a remote risk, but one nonetheless.

#open-share - November 22, 2023 at 04:30 PM

A lot comes down to the respective tech stack of the company. In our case, it is often looking at arrribution paths through something like HubSpot. There are also manual attributions where you can look at where/when sales deployed a case study in a deal or didn’t.

#chatgpt - October 27, 2023 at 03:01 PM

But go really intensive and it breaks down.

#chatgpt - October 27, 2023 at 03:01 PM

Or this

#chatgpt - October 27, 2023 at 03:00 PM

Like it handles this ok:

#chatgpt - October 27, 2023 at 03:00 PM

DALLE is much better than midjourney at words. Sometimes it just means playing around, but anything super word heavy is still a toss up.

#chatgpt - October 26, 2023 at 05:07 PM

Well I mean the use case is cool but the picture is so absurd lol

#chatgpt - October 26, 2023 at 04:48 PM

It's amazing how good it's getting at words.

#chatgpt - October 26, 2023 at 04:47 PM

This one made me laugh really, really hard. I was looking for a halloween-themed 'scary picture' about the most terrifying ask on the planet (when worded this way.)

#chatgpt - October 26, 2023 at 04:47 PM

So this is *incredibly* stupid, but I've been playing around a lot with the image generation capabilities in ChatGPT + DALLE, especially for creating imagery for my own social posts or just as an outlet for creativity/fun.

#announcements - October 26, 2023 at 02:54 PM

Great answer!

#announcements - October 26, 2023 at 02:03 PM

It’s kind of addictive because once you’re on there, it’s like a scoreboard: how many do we have? What’s the sentiment? Who is leaving them?

#announcements - October 26, 2023 at 02:03 PM

If your leadership is dead set against investing in the paid service portion, try a DIY pilot with some low hanging fruit positive customers to show them what’s possible. Go manual and try to generate just 10 or so reviews, and then go through the paces of incorporating them where you can, leveraging them, etc. to show the potential in action.

#announcements - October 26, 2023 at 02:01 PM

1. We will be able to mine these reviews for insights on our positioning and messaging. Something every copywriter worth their salt does is look at voice of customer to find new and effective ways to communicate your offering and value. 2. We will be able to bring the proof across into other areas: sales decks, landing pages, social activity, perhaps even newsletters or other areas of our sales and marketing 3. We can use reviews as a stepping stone to deeper customer content: for example, those who take the time to share a review may also be more likely to be open to being featured in case studies/success stories, webinars, panels, etc. as well as being referenced. 4. Many of these reviews sites have very strong SEO and will help you own more of the conversation around your brand name + reviews, which means you have some control and influence over what those who evaluate you as an option will encounter. 5. We know for sure that prospects seek out peer insights and reviews when making their decisions. Having stronger visibility and more depth to your reviews can help make you part of their consideration set — while your absence on these platforms can be suspicious or worse, mean you aren’t part of their consideration at all. 6. A customer leaving a review creates a natural opportunity to reach out personally and celebrate with a customer; it’s another natural touchpoint in the relationship to build on.

#announcements - October 17, 2023 at 06:25 PM

Like they need warehousing and logistics for a product? 3PL stuff?

#random - October 13, 2023 at 08:03 PM

We've found people are even more likely to take part in a case study if you lob an arbitrary deadline at them in the ask.

#random - October 13, 2023 at 07:15 PM

There are so many distractions when you sit down to do it. Oh, the baby's crying. Oh, I smell lunch cooking. Oh, an email just came in. When you've blocked out time for an interview or something, you're a little more committed .

#random - October 13, 2023 at 07:15 PM

I do also wonder if people think typing = more time consuming than being interviewed

#random - October 13, 2023 at 07:14 PM

I half wonder if giving clients a deadline challenge like "If you drop your review before X (and give X an arbitrary reason, like being your personal reporting period internally to your boss, so there's a human angle) I'll send you TWICE our usual gift card amount"
