Becky - Be safe over these next few days. Happy to chat about how we work here at Thought Industries, but I have a difficult time getting case studies to completion. I don't have any problem with smaller projects like my customer of the month program, which is more of a case study light. It doesn't require the time resources from the customer, or us, that a full on case study does. And I also wear all the hats.

My 2 cents - I have a really hard time getting the case study, but a long line of participants for my customer of the month video series. It doesn't feel like a case study, but it will now populate some real estate on our case studies page in the next month or so. You may want to have the customers introduce you to their internal marketing teams. Sometimes it's easier to talk marketer to marketer and develop some kind of co-branding or give and take with that team, rather than letting your customer contact be the one responsible for trying to get the "yes". We've also build a case study requirement into our CAB membership. So customers that joint the CAB are obligated to do a case study during their 2 year cohort membership.

We use Referenceable - Available, Not Available Logo - Available, Not Available Case Study - Available, Not Available, Complete at the account level (loaded in SFDC, shows up in GS) At the contact level, I'm rolling out advocacy options as a drop-down multiselect triggered by their NPS response to ask what forms of advocacy they might be interested in: webinar participation, case study, customer of the month, reviews, references. Which launches them into our TITAN program toward product advisory board membership.

Something I still find funny is I have to jump through all of these hoops on my side, then on the customer side, to get a case study done, but I have a line up well into next year for customers that want to be customer of the month and so far, only 1 legal team has said we couldn't publish the content to social.

Many organizations will err on the side of non-exempt to prevent future lawsuits. It's not a bad life - OT can be great when you're working events or launches that go for long periods for days. The compensation is usually very good. The downside is that you have to keep track of all that you do, more for yourself than for the organization. You don't want to under-report your efforts, nor do you want to "guess" how much time it took, because they will come back and ask. Different organizations will use different reporting methods. My last place auto-approved anything up to 10 hours with no questions asked. Anything over 10 needed a warning that it was coming. PITA in the beginning, but I track everything anyway, and have for a very long time, so the actual reporting wasn't strange for me.

In addition to everyone's list - • Use Hubspot, or your equivalent for the communications. It's better for tracking. • If you have a community - push it there after you've sent an email announcement • If you have a line-up of speakers, throw in a special meet and greet for customers that sign up by ????, either in-person at the event, or virtually in advance • I've started our communications schedule for the event in October already with promotional discounts

@Maura Frost - I keep a slide deck available for the CS team to access that includes descriptions of the various programs for which I am responsible. That way they can just use that as a baseline when talking about the program(s) with customers. In addition - I meet regularly with the CSMs to talk about what I'm working on and get their feedback. FWIW

We've had customer awards for 2 years that were nominated by CSMs and voted on by our customer facing teams. 15 of them. Revamped this year to cut back to 5 awards, self-nominated through community. Releasing the awards nominations next week, for 4 weeks to get nominations, 4 weeks for them to present to the community, and 10 days to vote. All in time for the customer conference in October.

I also look at my schedule for the next two weeks every morning, and every evening before I close down for the day. Any day that already has 4 meetings on it gets blocked for the rest of the day, so no other meetings can be scheduled. Everything else is auto-declined.

Simple math, but proves a point - our new community, coming up on it's first year since we started the beta, is performing, on average, at 180% of the normal benchmarks on activity that other customers of our tool are doing. Patting myself on the back.
