Hey all! Happy Thursday :) I’m building out my first customer community and I’m currently looking at Khoros, Base, and Hivebrite. Does anyone have experience with any of these, or recommend any other platforms? Happy to discuss!!
A few non-negotiables I’m looking for in the community platform:
● Advocate Management
● Communication Management
● Community Management
● Gamification
● Referral Tracking
● Reporting/Analytics
● Rewards Program
● Social Engagement
Don’t think you’ll get all of that in platform, likely 2-3 (especially the Social Engagement one).
Base doesn’t have a Community platform to my knowledge, so I wouldn’t include it.
Depending on your target audience, what type of experience would be best for them to engage with your company, data security/IT needs, and budget, I’d look at:
• Slack X Tightknit
• Discourse
• Khoros
• Higher Logic Vanilla
• Orca
• Champion
• Common Room
• Sprout Social

Excellent points above! Base can offer community elements through it's partnership with Bettermode, and SlapFive has partnerships with Gradual, Vanilla, Khoros and Bevy so you could do an advocacy-community hybrid through that route (though you will need to pay for both platforms.)
Do you have any tools in your existing tech stack that address any of the bullet points you listed?

Based on your non-negotiables you're not likely to get all of that in one platform...Base might come close, but as @Amy Ng shared, SlapFive + Gradual community platform likely gets you 90% of the way there.
