Me asking for examples again! :flashlight:Customer spotlights this time. :flashlight: I'd love it if you'd share some examples of customer spotlights with me. I'm interested to see how different companies create them in terms of content, design/layout and where they live (newsletter, social media, blog post, etc.) :thank_you:
@Kristine Kukich Am I remembering correctly that you use customer spotlights? @Jeanne Talbot I love your Minute Monday videos - those would be considered customer spotlights, right? @Alexie Glover Any examples? @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly)?
I've never thought of them as "spotlights" but I guess they could be considered that. I've always thought of spotlights as like a social card with a quote but perhaps everyone has their own definition.
Iām looking š
@Kayleigh Bateman @Becca Snee @Marie Elliott @Daniel Palay @Leslie Barrett used to do pocket stories
Hey Emily! I didn't respond originally because I don't create anything called a Customer Spotlight. What we do do is abridged versions of larger customer stories or videos (quotes, metrics, etc.). Is that what you're looking for? Or something more like a story summary?
My customer spotlights are Q&A style. Most live in community and get promoted in newsletters but I'm working to get them added in our blog section also.
@Marie Elliott Would you be open to sharing an example?
@Jeanne Talbot Very interesting - I think you're right that everyone may have their own definition. Thanks for sharing.
@Alexie Glover No worries - I've never called anything we produced Customer Spotlights either. But it's interesting to see how everyone has a different idea of what it might be. I wonder if it's a term that's more used in Customer Success.
@Emily Amos the only thing I can think of that might be relevant would be small vignettes we've produced from customer stories that we've plugged into newsletters (linking out to the bigger assets like a story or video). I've seen other things produced, like q&a's and more informal sharing as Marie has mentioned above, but I don't have any examples myself.
I have created spotlights/pocket stories that can be linked to a larger story. Our sales team has had great success sharing these assets in pitch decks and on social media. Here are some samples of the graphics.
These are very cool! We sometimes share similar on social, but never thought of adding them to pitch decks (or maybe an email)
TY for sharing @Becca Snee
