Is anyone using Advocacy platforms for Partner marketing in any way? I'd love to hear about it.
yea @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) - usually a few different use-cases w/in the broader umbrella of partner marketing:
1. Partner enablement - e.g. say your a big IT vendor (Cisco, Dell, etc) - you have a bunch of resellers/VARs/distributers that sell your stuff on your behalf. Having collections of content around product line + industry + competitors can be a great way to enable this partners to more effectively sell your product. having enablement portals specific to each partner can be an good way to make consumption of content super simple for the partners
2. Partner enablement - strategic partners (e.g. MSFT, AWS, etc) - e.g. creating content/proof to tell a story around a shared offering or solution - e.g. "Customers success stories from Dell customers using Azure"
3. Partner recruitment - collect and present stories from partners/resellers around how you're a great partner and helped them drive revenue
So depends a bit on how you define "partner" but those are some of the usual buckets we see
