In addition to getting video testimonials and face time with existing customers, what are some other opportunities to be had attending an industry conference? I'm thinking about maybe creating content with attendees (don't have to be our customers) that we could use in thought leadership boosting efforts for our company. I'm curious what others create from conferences.

That's a great idea! @Bianca Del Vecchio didn't you do this at CustomerXCon, where you asked people their perspective on different customer marketing topics?

Tim, something else I do, and this is the notetaker in me, is I attend sessions and take copious notes (see CustomerXCon 2023 and CEdMA 2024 notes) and then circulate in Slack groups and on LinkedIn. I missed my calling as a stenographer, so this will have to do.

Often I'll take these and turn them into blog content and LInkedIn recaps.

Building off of the video testimonials, you can also just do in person interviews with customers for written content. Those are less heavy of a lift than all of that equipment.

Also, and I know @Ciana Abdollahian has done this at various RSA-type events where they have a customer lounge for their customers that are in attendance as a place for them to relax and work away from the show floor. Also, if y'all have executives in town at the same time, you can bring there as opposed to the booth as it's a lot easier to have conversations in the lounge than at a busy booth.

Our customer base is small, so there may not be many of them at the conferences. I'm thinking if there are opportunities to pull content/value from the conference without customers that can then be used to support sales, marketing, and success.

@Tim Jahn Does your product have in-app messaging? If so, run a pop-up in app with an offer in exchange for recording a video answer to one question. (We did this with a $25 Starbucks gift card and got 200 responses in about 2 hours. We had to shut it off because it was so successful.) This might not be what you're looking for!

@Jeanne Talbot - That's a great idea! Our scale is smaller (we have less than 200 total customers) that it might be better suited for when we've grown our customer base.

@Shannon Howard Yes, I did do this at CustomerXCon in 2023! (And thank you for being a part of that video!) I reached to event attendees through the event app (or just chatting with people) and asked if anyone would be interested in sharing some thoughts on a specific topic. I then used the clips to create a short video: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activity-7123789439876689920-YEx_?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
