I was traveling the past week and finally took a look at the mentorship interest form and holy cow I didn’t expect 50+ applications 🤯. Unfortunately, there’s no way I will be able to accommodate that many folks but I’ll look at options to perhaps support more than 3-5 during this first 3 months and reassess after if ppl want to wait a bit
I’m not surprised there are so many! If I can be helpful in thinking through how to immortalize your support for scale, let me know. I love that stuff
Would love to put in a good word for Sophie Zhu. She's just getting her feet wet but super enthusiastic and a genuinely good person.
I'm happy to help. When I did the matches before there were a LOT of people who didn't respond and I probably didn't do enough follow up to see who did participate.
I can put out a request for others who would want to mentor but I do not have the structure in place to manage it right now.
I could ask if someone wants to manage it though? I guess I'm saying if you can think through an option that would help, I'm here to rally the community to do it.
I'll look to see how I balance this between more junior folks and with those with experience
