Many have had this experience. What company do you work for? @Melissa Meyer was at Influitive before they were acquired. @Joel Klettke had Case Study Buddy acquired as well.

I'm only briefly a part of the transition and then I'll no longer be with the company.

A transition like this can be hard on a team; a lot of questions, fears, doubts, concerns about the disruption of culture and the security of their jobs.

My perspective is obviously limited, but it helps when there's clarity and transparency from the outset. It also depends on who is acquiring, I think -- is it PE trying to juice the company for all it's worth and looking to make a ton of change? Is it a similar provider looking to grow? It's always a mix of excitement, fear.
