I am in the process of selecting a community platform. On my short list (and companies I am in contact with) exists of: Gainsight, Higer Logic Vanilla, Khoros and Hivebrite. Do any of you have experience with any of these four options. And particular likes or dislikes? And finally tips to take into consideration?

What is the core goal of the community? Ticket deflection, advocacy, networking, etc? They all have different core competencies.

I aim it to be a support and best practice. But we also have user groups. I currently manage a WhatsApp community with over 500 active member and we aim to professionalize it this year.

Yes the biggest point of feedback is that is just a chat and that there is too much happening (yeah for an really active community) that it is hard to follow. In a future platform they are wishful thinking more forum based options and 1-1 chats in chat of the massive community chats that are happening now.

And I’ll reach out to you 1-1 to discuss your experience with Gainsight… I already signed off for the day ;)

If user groups are a focus area, Bevy may be a good fit since each user group can have its own page, newsletter, events, etc. I hear they also have some AI capabilities on the admin side to help reduce admin burden.

If you're thinking about Khoros, it's also helpful to double check which version you're demoing / considering - Classic is their legacy offering and Aurora is their new one.

Hey Sanne! A lot of SlapFive customers have experience using all of these. I will send you a message on this 🙂
