Hi, I'm building a new community from scratch with zero budget and a lot of enthusiasm. In two weeks, I have collected 35 active members and am looking for the best use cases to create a community with limited resources. Would you happen to have any suggestions?
What’s the goal of your Community?
And, what have your members shared as their desired place to connect with peers?
Hy, the community is a global one with people from around the globe.
My aim is to foster virtual interactions within this LinkedIn community, leading to the organization of local meetups, even as simple as a coffee, in their respective cities.
Right now, I'm using a LinkedIn reserved group to share content and pull that can help them get to know each other and reserve assets and content they like.
I need something more agile to manage as this is a volunteer project I'm doing to help women who work in cybersecurity.
Are you familiar with what Women in Ai Governance are doing? Worth an exploration imho. We should connect sometime on some collaborative opportunities. I will DM you with the community work I am doing in privacy, security, and GRC.
Do you have an application or process for collecting info on members before they join the LinkedIn group?
I’m asking since it’s tricky, if not impossible, to get data out of a LinkedIn Group (similar to a Facebook Group) from a Community Management perspective.
I’m asking to see if you’ll be able to easily support (and scale) the organization of local meetups as the program grows.
Got it, thanks for sharing that context with me!
Given that you do this on your own time, @Cristina Sartori Errico, do you have budget to support or no?
