Hi everyone! Doing some research on B2B newsletter best practices to see how we can improve our customer newsletters. Anyone currently managing their newsletter that’s open to sharing what has worked/not worked? Could be strategies around design, cadence, content, etc.

Hey Alan! I've had some really strong open rates with our customer comms (averaging around 50% for our monthly newsletter). I've found that if possible, customization and segmentation really helps with engagement - for example, all of our product links in our newsletter link directly to the specific place in platform that we're talking about to help with ease of adoption.

Thanks @Heather Quitos! That’s a great idea.

One thing we did that significantly bumped up open rates was previewing content in the subject line.

So instead of something like "See what's new in May" changing it to "May Insiders: Badge Access Update | Innovation Launch | Unlocking Growth with Reviews"

And then we do something similar to Heather where we link directly to our platform and especially when it's something net new we try to have our in-app messaging to help double down on adoption for that feature.

Thanks @Katlin Hess. Did you ever run into an issue with subject lines being too long? Or do you just pick, let’s say, the top 3 sections to preview?

@Alan Manosca we do sometimes, but we normally just pick 2-3 items to preview and then get a little creative with how we phrase them lol
