Hi all! What's anyone using for managing your reference customers and their usage (especially for revenue influence on Closed Won opps in SFDC)? I've had ReferenceEdge in the past, but it's more than we need and is pretty expensive. Looking for something no cost, or low cost, to replace the completely manual Excel sheet we're using now. 🤯 Maybe a SFDC app?

SFDC has objects for reference use or you can easily build out a few custom objects with SFDC admin so you can still access the same reporting you would have had with RefEdge (for revenue influenced through the opportunities) without needing the full tool.

Agree with Alexie! We just created SFDC fields to track advocacy and reference activity and one of the fields on the activity record is a related opportunity field that we can then pull reports on and/or create dashboard cards to show influenced revenue. Best thing I have done was befriend our SFDC admin ha.

+1 my last company had built a custom Reference object in Salesforce and were able to correlate that to opportunities in Salesforce. Wasn't 100% purpose built for it, but got a good amount of the job done.
Before then, I used to use Slapfive for this, as they had their own widget within Salesforce for References

Thanks so much!

+1 to custom fields and objects within SFDC. You can also use SFDC campaigns to track event participation and speakers, for example. From there, it’s quite easy to build simple dashboards in SFDC. And if your Marketo is integrated with SFDC, you can use its Bizible attribution model to track influenced revenue. The simplicity and speed of all this always depend on your SFDC team’s availability and willingness to help 😅

Would love to see a sample slide on what all is being tracked from SFDC as far as advocacy goes.

I'd love to learn more about how to build the fields and objects in SFDC. I have a great SF Admin, willing to help, but I think I need to give him guidance on what to build to track reference activities and tie to revenue. any additional info would be extremely helpful.
