hey all. A quick question for you: I was wondering if anyone has built and launched an “alumni” program, to stay in touch with individuals at a customer who left for a new role to a place that is not a current customer, or to an advocate at an account that has churned. If so, would you be willing to share what that looked like and how you have made that program a success? Thanks and talk soon.

Are you thinking about using a tool like UserGems to do this?

It's not scalable, but I stay in touch with customers via LinkedIn so I can stay posted on job changes, help them look for a new role, etc.

Our demand gen team is using UserGems to expand the size of our database and update contact info, reengage, etc.

Thanks, @Shannon Howard! We’re not planning to use a tool, since it’s less about scraping and finding out who has moved on, for us. This is more about providing a programmatic way of staying in touch with advocates who happen not be customers any more

More about feedback, staying engaged, vs a pure Demand Generation activity

This might be something @Irwin Hipsman has done. He spoke about Job Tracking with Advocates a couple of months ago on one of our calls. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind weighing in.

That’s super helpful, @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly)!

Sounds great, @Irwin Hipsman. I’ll ping you! Thx! 🙏

I’ll grab the link to the call you did Irwin, do you think you covered this well on that call or that another call would be best?

Can you send me the link. A bunch of things have changed around tech.
