#job-seekers
Thread
I am heading into what I hope will be a big week. I will hear about one role on Wednesday and will be in the 3rd of 4 interviews on Thursday. Here is my question: Does anyone have any strategies you love, that you think are effective in helping make that final pitch to a hiring manager on why you’re the best choice? Or, is the strategy to shut-up and wait? :joy:
Always send a thank you note after the final interview! And sometimes for an extra nudge, I have a former manager send a recommendation.
I have some thoughts from Kevin Lau on this:
1. It’s not always the hiring manager that decides, it’s usually a panel, so it might be worth messaging all of them.
2. You want to prove you can help with the reason they are hiring AND add value to the org.
3. Have a clear, specific elevator pitch as to why you are the best fit for the job.
I hope this helps.
Very helpful! Sounds like I’m on the right track! Grateful for the ideas and insights!
Let us know how it pans out @Marcus Painter
Of course!
