Hi friends! Wondering how yโ€™all balance your g2 vs. GPI asks :) i have a few ideas for segmentation / focused accounts but I'm newer to this world โ€” does anyone have any tips they'd be willing to share?

I normally segment by persona for this type of combination. Sending higher-level personas to GPI and lower-level personas to G2. GPI's survey tends to be more in-depth and better targeted to a decision maker versus a user, whereas G2 works for both users and decision makers.

Totally agree re G2 being more of a numbers game and GPI being much more involved ๐Ÿ˜‚

Segmenting this way, and thinking about your customers as individual advocates versus an account, helps to limit the overwhelm. Your advocates won't be receiving multiple requests, but you'll be multi-threading your campaigns so you're always bringing in reviews to each platform.

Interesting approach In my experience, whoever reviews you on one platform are your most engaged customers, so the most likely not to be overwhelmed and the most likely to review you again.

The first thing I'd do for GPI reviews is ask past g2 reviewers, with proper segmentation on top as @Alexie Glover mentions: focusing on decision makers rather than users.

So I wouldn't split between the 2 platforms but if you need to and want to know how much you can dial down g2 volume to push GPI, I'd recommend checking out this free tool (we built) to get a better sense of the distance between you and your competitors on the g2 grids.
