Folks, who can give me a brief overview of FTC and review platform polices best practices. I vaguely recall the FTC proposing or enacting a policy discouraging the practice of soliciting reviews from a targeted set of customers that are more likely to give a positive review (e.g. high NPS score and/or member of an advocacy program), additionally discouraging the practice of requesting only 5 star reviews, etc. What is the current policy in the US? Globally? Per major review platforms?

Key highlights:
• You CAN solicit from positive NPS respondents BUT it can't be automated. (So it can't be, "Thanks for giving us a 10/10! Would you leave a review?) but if you segment that list, should be OK. (I usually throw in a few neutrals for authenticity.)
• You can't explicitly ask for a positive review. So you can say, "Would you leave us a review? Your feedback helps others like you make the right decision." But you can't say, "Glad you love our product! We'd love if you'd give us a positive review on G2."
