the rise of storytelling as a job:

I just saw this post from Ann
I'm scoping out a role that basically is this exact thing. Still waffling on calling it storytelling, but I do want to distinguish it for a traditional copywriting role, because I need someone who can tease out a good story from someone who doesn't think they have a story to tell as much as the ability to write it.
Also, the quote that people who "actually tell stories don't see themselves as storytellers" is preposterous! It is a quote that's over a decade old, though, so I'm not too mad about it.
I do think that the term storytelling in B2B has become really meaningless, but there are plenty of us who earned English literature degrees and need to make a living.
