I've been looking at lots of platforms lately - Circle, Mighty Network, Heartbeat, heck I even tried to make myself a little graphic to keep track of what does what... But here's what I HAVEN'T found... I need a community member CRM. I really don't need an enterprise social network because our community's Slack channel works just fine. Our community isn't tied to sales, so Hubspot and Salesforce are just not right for our needs. They are so complicated! Anyone know of ANY tools that are useful as light CRMs to manage community members, join anniversaries, etc?
You can join Threado, CommonRoom, or Orbit for free with your Slack
Campfire, Dots, Waves, & Common Room
They all work really well for that. You dont get a ton of integration beyond Slack but you will have your slack data.
I agree with Common Room for this. I use it for our slack community and it can do a lot just on the free version.
I’ll say this tho @Liz Lathan on community platforms:
No platform is perfect. You’ll need to recognize limitations and make likely a decision to:
• Accept the limitations without additional resourcing/programs to make up for the gap(s)
• Build additional programs for members to support given the platform limitations
One of my community consulting clients uses Slack and Circle. I have thoughts on Circle 😂
I don’t know anyone on Mighty Networks (and I don’t love it from what I’ve seen/heard) nor Heartbeat.
Correct - I don't need the social network part, I just need the CRM part and hadn't had much luck with them. Testing out Orbit now and I like it - but need to look at Common Room!
