I never came across this at a previous company, but at my new company we're starting a Customer Sponsorship Request program. For example, we had a customer asking if we could become a sponsor for their child's youth soccer team. Our team would be giving funds and getting company advertisement based on our sponsorship level. Does anyone have any experience doing this in their customer advocacy role? I'm trying to create a short playbook for the purpose of these requests, but have never done this before.

In my experience, these are typically write offs and the company knows how much room they have before they reach the tax limit. (My husband's business sponsors a ton of things in our town)

I'm interested in why it would be coming through customer advocacy (and hopefully it won't be hitting your budget!).

Yeah, I need to ask more questions about why this is coming through our team! As of now, it looks like it will be hitting our budget😑

When I was at Sage I partnered with our foundation to look at funding customer sponsorship requests. It can be a great opportunity to do so. Great way to cement customer advocates and develop positive customer stories.

Has Docebo committed a budget for the program?

Yes, we have a section of our budget for these requests!
