Hi all! Budget question :moneybag: This is my first time being a part of an organization where all copywriting & design work is done externally (aka after I do a solid first draft of a case study, I'll need to leverage contractors to help get to the finish line) Anyone with experience leveraging contractors for copywriting and design? I have budget, just trying to get a sense of how many hours I'll need per case study.

There's a few factors that will significantly impact budget estimates:
• Are you working with an individual or an agency?
• How many hours of writing work are you anticipating?
• Are you providing a template for the design work or asking the designer to complete all work from scratch?
• Will you be working with the same person assignment to assignment?
• Where is the contractor based? This significantly impacts your budget.
These are the first questions that are top of mind. If you have folks that you're working with already, I'd recommend asking them directly. If you're pitching the work, ensure you get these answers and a quote from your contractors.
This is so so helpful! It's a bit up in the air to say the least at BU made a big shift this year from having internal resources to everything being outsourced 😅
Do you have any general estimates on hours required for writing? I've always done the first draft, internal reviews etc and then typically would hand off to content marketing for a period of time. Not sure what is typically reasonable from an hours perspective
