What is the coolest piece of swag you’ve received from a company?

Joel Primack August 10, 2023 at 02:24 PM

My favorites have been:
• Non-branded JBL on-ear Bluetooth headphones 🎧

• Ability to donate to a cause I care about
• As long as I have a good relationship with the company, I love a good tshirt too because I’ll use it as a workout shirt or lounging around my place.
I’m SUPER boring when it comes to swag 😂

Not necessarily totally out there, but my faves have been a really nice blanket that i love. The logo was on the corner and didn’t take up the whole thing And a north face (or other high quality zip fleece)

Alexie Glover August 10, 2023 at 02:49 PM

Kind of kooky, but we're running a campaign with a branded pickle ball set right now and it seems to be a hit.

Kiely (Monteiro) Hajjar August 10, 2023 at 02:49 PM

pickle ball is SO in right now. That’s fun @Alexie Glover definitely unique!

Kelly Miller August 10, 2023 at 02:51 PM

Pickle ball set is such a good idea. We’re brainstorming new client welcome gifts but wanted to think of something outside a generic water bottle/notebook/mug etc

Joel Primack August 10, 2023 at 02:52 PM

If you make it an Good-Great scale gift and the experience is on point, it could be fun to ask them to do unboxing videos too 🎁

Alexie Glover August 10, 2023 at 02:54 PM

If your gifting platform has options, the pickle ball set is part of one package we've designed. We're doing packages that speak to someone's interests: travel and adventure (the two current themes). We've added in the classic mug/notebook/fleece, but have more unique options like pickle ball and a hammock (adventure), umbrella and suitcase (travel). These are definitely intended to be bigger ticket items (they aren't for a welcome package), but dividing them thematically has drummed up some more interest. Maybe an idea for some of the smaller ticket items normally included in a welcome package?

@Kiely (Monteiro) Hajjar sooo not like this blanket we sent? 😂

Angela Ferrante August 10, 2023 at 03:48 PM

Love the pickleball idea

Kiely (Monteiro) Hajjar August 10, 2023 at 05:21 PM

That’s actually cute though! The logo makes it fun 🙂

Angela Ferrante August 10, 2023 at 05:22 PM

Haha thank you - this one was intentionally a bit cheesey for our employee, I’m totally with you on small logos being better for gifting!

Emily Gover August 10, 2023 at 05:36 PM

this is definitely not cool, but decidedly a piece of swag i use all the time — a company branded a teeny tiny double-ended screwdriver (one phillips, one flat) that i use all the time when i’m doing work around the house 😂 i think it was meant possibly for eyeglasses, but it’s now in our toolbox (and in regular rotation)

Randy Ksar August 10, 2023 at 05:45 PM

Here are my swag winners that I've actually kept over the years:
• Dri-fit run shirt
• Water bottle
• Branded battery for my iPhone
• Color pencils and coloring back (that helped my mental health)

Amanda Schulte August 10, 2023 at 08:30 PM

I gave out a toggle of chargers once, think like one charger that has iPhone, micro usb, etc. all in one. I kept one for myself and we use it alll the time. Best from another company - I honestly love getting food as swag. Branded cupcake boxes or chocolates. Chapstick is a close 2nd, small and overdone but I'm always using them. I just got a Lululemon fanny pack from Salesforce that was also realllly nice swag. Half zip oversized cozy sweatshirts are another fave if the branding is very limited or fun.

A mix of things I've done and things I've loved:
• Branded bbq tool set with bbq sauce (did this at last company and customers loved it).
• Branded YETI coolers (for a high end gift). A
• At a conference we did branded white chocolate covered oreos for advocates which was well received
• My last company gave me a waterproof clip JBL speaker which I loved because I brought to the beach or any outdoor lounging activity.
• My last company also gave me a Brumate for slim cans which I also loved.
• Along the same lines, I did a summer themed swag pack with a beach towel, beach ball, sunscreen, chapstick etc
• We have noticed people love kid friendly swag so we might get some Patch (our doberman mascot) stuffed animals and we are trialing a Patch puzzle since that is something that can be done with children!

Uploading our new hoodie design because I'm kind of obsessed

Kiely (Monteiro) Hajjar August 10, 2023 at 09:32 PM

I made dog swag at an old org (bandana with punny saying and frisbee) and also received some from a vendor before. i posted about both i loved them so much. obviously wouldnt work for all customers. @Ciana Abdollahian Patch reminded me of them

The best swag I received was a 1) really nice Tumi hanging toiletry bag 2) a box of very personalized Pokémon things after I sent them a love letter on behalf of my 5yo.

We’re doing themed swag for summer: choice of an insulated cooler bag, travel hammock or travel neck pillow. The cooler bag has been the most popular, but the hammock actually got us 6 new online reviews after our original contact loved it SO much he asked if his whole team who had used the product could also leave reviews for swag. It was awesome.

Now I need ideas for fall themed swag!

Kristine Kukich August 11, 2023 at 05:11 PM

I once received an airplane footrest https://www.amazon.com/Foot-Rest-Airplane-Travel-Footrest/dp/B07QJY84RR/ref=asc_df_B[…]vdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1024543&hvtargid=pla-740292409411 that I use all the time. Mine is branded.

Amanda Schulte August 11, 2023 at 05:55 PM

Ohhh @Kristine Kukich that's a great one!!
