Important info for Customer Marketers & Community members
Thread
Hey all - <http://www.userevidence.com|UserEvidence> is doing the 2023 version of our Customer Marketing Technology landscape and releasing it in a couple weeks (<https://blog.userevidence.com/an-exploration-of-the-customer-marketing-technology-landscape-in-2022|see 2022 version here>). Before I release this to the broader community - wanted to get this groups feedback on this draft of the 2023 landscape. Any vendors I omitted? Vendors - let me know if you feel you should be in a different category (but you can only choose 1 category :slightly_smiling_face:
Vendor here! I’m not quite sure what category we’d fit in if we can only be in 1. We have both software and services (2 products) - so for services, customer testimonial videos is right. For software, it’s connecting to call recording platforms (gong, chorus, etc) and managing workflows/content from there. So maybe the “broad” category… happy to chat on this, Evan 🙂
For gifting: Snappy
For reference management: Reference Edge
@Rachel Ward RefEdge is by Point-of-Reference
@Jeff Reekers Champion in Customer Reference Platforms seem right?
Cool just Learned something new!
to make it more confusing ReferenceView was the old name of the platform from RO Innovations (now Upland) 🙂
So excited to see this growing!! @Lili Kovari any thoughts on something to add?
@Evan Huck - amazing list!
I would put Deeto in the "Wide-breadth Customer Marketing Automation Platforms" Category
I don’t see usergems, or ABM products, that seems to be an area that is growing. Case Study/content agencies could include Case Study Buddy & Uplift Content. I also like Coefficient which is similar to Airtable but for Google Sheets.
@Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) great feedback - thx!
is the new kid on the block in Managed Services and Consulting Firms!
I'd take out "all-purpose" from the DIY All Purpose Tools box. Most of these vendors offer a single solution. Otherwise, this is awesome!
Fantastic @Evan Huck! Really helpful content. References works for us.
Agree with @Mary Green (Owner CMAweekly) fir usergems. Zoominfo would be in their ballpark. Maybe a new customer marketing category as they are both about the health of your contact database.
I just ran across a European community tool that’s interesting. Orbit. They use AI to match people into smaller communities
Oh I’ve used orbit in the past, it’s a very cool tool that allows you to plug into communities that already exist like Reddit, etc. we used it for our developer community
