Curious what your #1 favourite customer story question is?
@Emily Amos @Joel Klettke @Rob Ayre @Justine Woo @Taylor Page
Adding to Mary's list: @Scott Stransky!
"How would you feel if the solution was taken away?"
"What did [X metric or change] mean for/make possible for ________"
(You? Your boss? Your department? Your campaign?)
I like this because it helps people go beyond the numbers and into the impact of those changes where the relatable story often lives.
as part of mine, I like to get our customer to show their implementation and talk through how and where they specifically use our software. it gives a cool insight into seeing it working directly, and also opens our stories up to showcasing all the different use cases we serve
“What would you say to a current customer who is not using [feature]?” <-- helps drive adoption for current customers
I also love "what surprised you the most" you get a lot of great, candid moments in the answers to that question.
ooh - another one "What, if anything, has exceeded your expectations?" -- gets them to talk about above and beyond performance from our software, as well as gets them to elaborate on service, csm relationships, etc.
Obsessed with these answers. Thank you all!! One of mine relates to the advocate themselves: "What is your [industry] vision?" so for example, for someone working in a customer service/experience role: "What is your customer experience vision?"
love all of these. our products are super techical and live in the infrastructure layer and can seem very removed from end-users, so i often want to tease out how the technology connects with customer experiences. "Can you give an example of how your partnership with us has directly improved the experience of your customers?" (something along those lines)
These are all GREAT questions!
I'd add:
How do the services X Company provides impact or benefit your end users? team? business?
I like this because it asks the customer to reflect on all levels of benefits.
"If you could wave a magic wand and change anything about your experience or the product, what would it be?"
“How are your job and life outside of work materially better now?”
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
What gets you excited about your role?
What's one feature, outcome, or use of our product that you didn't expect that has made an impact on how you manage your program?
Where do you like to go on vacation?
let's take our product/projects out of the equation, at some point either you (or your boss/team/company) woke up with a problem, what was it?
What advice would you give to someone looking to buy a PRM and having a hard time getting buy in from leadership.
Sales loves this one as our alternative is often "do nothing."
It's led to some great quotes too!
I'm going to collect these and share with our head of content! This is an awesome list (could actually be a blog post...)
