Calling the Sendoso experts here for quick help (Helloo <@U04D81RPJ12>!) - We sent some branded swag to a customer and they asked _*"As part of our internal anti-corruption policy, could you tell me the amount excluding VAT per person of these gifts?"*_ Should the gift amount include the items' shipping cost as well? Does anyone know? Also, when your customers ask for these, do you send them invoice/other proofs or just share the amount details over an email?

this may differ from company to company. When we were asked in the past we provided the cost of the item, no vat, no shipping and our email was enough, no proof was needed.

Hi! Sendoso employee here. This could vary, typically we say branded swag's monetary value is reduced to $0 as branded swag can't be resold. @Austin Sandmeyer want to weigh in here?

Great question @Harikrishna P and thanks for the tag @Catalina Lueders

In general this is very company specific and can vary greatly unless it is a government organization.

In general we see customers usually say:
• Shipping cost would not be included and VAT would not be included.
• You can use the cost of the item.
• @Catalina Lueders is correct though, most companies declare branded swag items $0 value as they have no commercial value. They will of course have a manufacturing value which can be declared at a nominal cost eg. $1.
I hope this helps @Harikrishna P! 🙂
