Hi all, I work for a technical cybersecurity company that has both on-prem and cloud solutions. We are looking to set up an online community and finding that we have a couple requirements that are making it hard to find a platform that fits both the Product team and my (Advocacy) needs. I want something engaging and modern for advocacy and engagement reasons and product needs something to allow on-premise customer to download (sometimes massive 5G) files and push communications. Is there anyone using something similar? We have struck out with Gainsight, Magentrix, and Zendesk for various reasons and most of the others I have looked at don't have any file management capabilities. Appreciate any help.

Sounds like you may be better off with a content management system that’s compatible with an advocacy program or community, rather than something that does it all, but SlapFive might be worth looking at if you can only get one software product. Just note it’s a back-end solution so you’ll need your own customer interface.

What’s the prioritization for it and budget (ballpark)?

Budget is tricky - we have some set up from what we are trying to replace on the Product portal side, but are somewhat flexible (meaning there is no real budget and we have to find something that the COO will be willing to fund). Prioritization is high.

Slack (free) X Tightknit (Paid) could work well for y’all. Tightknit has an Awards & Certifications module, including badges, etc.
Another community platform to review would be Discourse (Asana and Pinterest are both customers, as well as others).
On Customer Advocacy, I’d look at Orca (Salesforce-native) and Champion.
<@U07V02XU2CB> leads the advocacy program at HubSpot via Khoros — I’d ask Gabby Qs on that topic/use case.
