Does anyone have Cx overview slides that visually show what is meant by Cx, what drives Cx and customer satisfaction, and the link between customer satisfaction/retention and service? I need to build a presentation for internal folks not as familiar with thinking about the customer experience and how their service role is critical. Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much @Mindy Lyons Blackstock for this thorough answer. I am just starting my 4th week so I need to do some more investigating as to teams and tools. I do not know that we have a RevOps team, to be honest. I can get an exec sponsor and I have spoken to managers of the teams already. I can definitely present at these various team meetings. I have identified the WIFM but I need to confirm metrics. When you say use SalesForce, in what way do you mean? Thanks again for the great input!

In my new role in Customer Marketing, I see a need for more sharing of customer information across our teams. I want to create an internal communication vehicle that goes out on a regular basis to cross-functional teams that interact with customers to ensure we are focused on the same objectives, speaking with consistent voice, sharing best practices, customer successes, and creating more of a feedback loop, etc. so in my case this would be with the customer success, customer training, marketing and service sales teams. What formats for this communication would you recommend? An email newsletter? Any templates I can see? Thank you!

@Shannon Howard - love that doc! In my new role I have been having 1:1 meetings with various stakeholders, and as I met with customer success and sales people, I discussed need for customer success stories. I’m going to see how I can use this in follow-up to explain what I need. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I am preparing for a panel interview on Thursday for a customer marketing role where I know 2 of the people will be demand gen folks. I also know their focus is on top and middle of funnel. I anticipate I will get questions about my experience in generating relevant content that engages customers and moves them down the funnel, segmenting our audience, metrics around demand gen activities of which I know they told me is mostly emails at this point. I also know this role needs to work closely with Customer Success which I have also done in the past. What questions do you think I should be prepared to answer and what examples to have ready to speak to for the demand gen perspective? Also, what questions do you think I should ask? I plan to ask how they see a successful collaboration with this Customer Marketing role? Thanks everyone!

@Maria Braune thank you so much for this. The interview went really well and based on answers I got they are in the infancy stage of lifecycle marketing- it’s more where they want and know they need to go, but from the sound of it they haven’t even mapped the customer journey yet. So I don’t have a problem working on that but I will ask some clarifying questions. These 30 minute interviews are not long enough!

Hi everyone! I am new to this group and actively looking for a customer marketing role. Wednesday-Friday, I am in what I hope are final 4th round interview with 5 people from the Marketing team. I would be responsible for customer experience around their services and customer training for their precision radiation oncology instruments in the Americas. This is a new role for them. I am interviewing with the Director of Global Services and Lifecycle Marketing. I will be collaborating with this team. I am going to ask him how he sees this collaboration working. I also want to ask question that would help me understand/uncover how he approaches lifecycle marketing for the company’s services and the challenges, opportunities or any red flags. What 1-2 questions would you recommend I ask that will help give me pertinent information? Thanks!
