Our clients incentivize their customers (with redeemable tokens) to provide video/image testimonials. They get a ton of images and quotes this way. Here's an example of their playlist on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geYSoVoEr3s&list=PL1ankEyqPOSS8yTiAK4RoIpFAXWF8iJkc

@Shelly Ryder I believe there is a maximum of $50 value per item received before there are tax implications (and total of $600/year). The incentives our clients offer are typically below that $50 threshold. For higher valued incentives, we use raffle draws/auctions/sweepstakes to limit the number of winners. That reduces the number of folks affected by tax issues, and allows for easier tax form support.

Have you tried playing around with some AI slide deck tools? I did last year, and this one was pretty amazing: https://gamma.app/

Hi <@U084ZQ7NXT3>
1. Map out the behaviors you want to see from your ICP. Starting with the highest to lowest value. Maybe you incentivize one or multiple steps. Taxes do matter. In the US, people can receive a single item up to $50 in value, and up to $600 total (annually) before needing to claim taxes (please check, and look at different country requirements).
2. That's harder, but we've seen clients screen and filter out non-professional email domains.
3. Yes, scaling can be an issue, especially if you want to segment your ICP's. For automation, look for software that can listen to your described actions.

@Shelly Ryder @Maura Frost I often hear people say that gamification "doesn't work". That's a common sentiment when using points, badges, and leaderboards (PBL). Those are first-generation strategies and can work in some use cases. Here's what I've found:

• The "engagement" effect with PBL drops since most people suffer from reward fatigue and indifference.

• Earning endless points is meaningless
• Hardly anyone cares about leaderboards
• Badges are digital stickers. Hardly shared, and no one cares.
There are much better ways to add gamification to drive behavior change. If you're looking for an incentive framework, I highly recommend the SAPS model, by Gabe Zichermann.

Status, Access, Power, and Stuff. Once you understand your end users' personas, you can start figuring out what kinds of incentives they'll find appealing.

But is sounds like Access would be an important one for your end-users...and lots of cool ways to add/offer value to them to keep them engaged.

@Maura Frost Is your advocacy program tied to your tech stack? Ie. Community, LMS, events...other?

For our clients using Motrain, we suggest using 1 point = $0.01 so the math is easier.

We suggest things like a course completion (ie. 10 min) is valued at 100 or 150 points (ie. $1 or $1.50), and friend referrals at 200 points. Then in the future, they can change that amount depending on how they want to influence behaviors.

For example, if they want to promote a particular course completion or referrals for seasonal low points, they can double these point values and address that during their marketing campaigns.
